I own a Schwinn 230. It's just "OK". The seat is NOT comfortable. You cannot adjust the angle of the back. There are not enough resistance levels, and there is a wonky display for resistance. The workouts are basic, and there isn't much choice. The pedals are cheap and the pedal straps are restrictive. The heart rate monitor is wildly inaccurate. It was very easy to assemble with outstanding instructions and the tools needed are included. It looks nice and the ride / pedal stroke is smooth. One caveat: if you are thinking of putting road or MTB pedals on this recumbent, you will need to buy 1/2" to 9/16" adapters. Like a lot of indoor stationary exercise bikes, this Schwinn has 1/2" threaded pedal holes in the crank arms. It is very easy to move around, having wheels on the front stabilizer. At this price point, it is a good value, but it is very, very basic. Made in China.

I had a Schwinn 270 for a numbers of years and besides a very uncomfortable seat, which my behind sort of adjusted to, it was great. After one of the resistance belts snapped recently, I purchased the 230. So far, I really like it. I think because of the previous seat, this new one is fine. I really only require time and calorie readout, that may not be sufficient for others. My one complaint, which is minor, is that the resistance only shows bars, there is no number associated with it to better tell me where I’m at.

I am glad you are liking it! That is good feedback on the resistance display too! Thanks for watching! - Linds

I had the Schwinn recumbent about 16 years ago during a shoulder rehab and liked it. I am now working on an ACL and MCL injury and would prefer the SciFit recumbent $$$ because I can not only adjust the distance but also the height of the seat. Plus, I need to start with a very low, low level. The Schwinn seat looks very uncomfortable-No padding?
