Our STUDER A80, A810, A812 MK2 VU, B67, B67 MK2 VU analog 2-track 1/4" tape machines getting a service in the vintagetools studios. They will be available @ www.vintagetools.de soon. This is just a quickly made preview video showing the machines.

I'd either keep the A80 or the A810, just because of the low hours... in the studio you won't need VU meters, and of these decks the A80 is IMHO the best :) And also, the machines with VU meters are much easier to sell...

How do you know if the signal is overloading without VU meters, though?

You can always use external metering. Either VU or plasma meters by NTP or RTW. We put them in our VT19-1U racks.
