Hey man, watched like 4 of your vids now and it's by far the best fighting advice I've seen on TH-cam so far. I'm a small person, 1.53 ft and 153 lb. I've trained 4 years karate, 2 years boxing, 2 years krav maga in that order and the one question I got is why don't talk about kicking people in the groin? Especially if they are bigger than you, which is basically always for me and I find that kicking people in the groin is the most accessible strike most of the time when fighting bigger opponents. Like, I don't give a fuck about fair. I gonna survive.
Is there a reason for why you don't do that or what's the deal?

There is a major difference between
He only has to hit me once I have to hit him twice.
He only has to hit me once I only have to hit him twice.
      And.
He has to hit me once I only have to hit him twice.
Shin snaps ready to go for the flying knee off the kick is a good way to keep low and fast. Plus can easily make space if your opponent sees it but it is too fast to counter.

The toughest kid in my high school was maybe 6-4 and 260 at least. No one messed with him. The good thing was, he didn't like to fight unless he had to and even better, he didn't like seeing others bullied. One day, I was sitting in the locker room and this 210 pound kid with a fork wrapped around his hand was threatening kids. This guy happened to be in the locked room. He went up to that kid picked him up by his shirt and slammed him into the lockers and said, "Cut that out!" Well he did, lol This guy went on to wrestle HW in the Olympics and play offensive tackle in the NFL!

He just looked down on me and said, "Don't worry about it, kid." I helped him pick up his books. You could also use your footwork to get onto the grass and not get trapped into the corners especially against a much larger attacker. Also if you do get knocked out it's far more dangerous if your head slams onto the concrete, I've seen it too many times. I'm loving your real life self defence and scenarios.

I think big guys being stronger is very situational.
I’m certainly not a big guy (5’11” and 103kg, decently lean) but definitely bigger than average as been in weights gyms since 17 (25 now). I’ve also don’t karate and boxing training for a number of years through my teams and early 20s.
I could grapple with Moose at least for a few minutes and hold my own, and I’d be surprised if he could out-power me.
If I wasn’t an experienced lifter right now then I’d totally say Moose would have a power advantage so smaller dudes would definitely find it difficult on this situation. Obviously you don’t need to be a body builder, but functional muscle mass is extremely helpful.
For me, I feel wrestling with these bigger guys is more of a drain on your gas tank as opposed to not being able to take them on head to head. They simply carry more weight and are more acclimatised to how it feels, where you are not (even if you’re a stronger dude).
It’s less about strength and power and more about them just being used to that sort of weight.
Moving around and tiring them out is the best way to gain an advantage - and a well placed kick to the bollocks can help a lot too!

I saw another video where they recommended to evade strikes like a boxer when dealing with a heavier opponent. Avoiding those strikes puts less pounding on your body.
I also wouldn't rule out using the clinch like is taught in BJJ. That reduces the punching power of your attacker.

There's an old saying, "The best defense is a good offense." The longer you rely on parrying and blocking the incoming punches, the longer the attacker has to finally land that one shot that stuns you. Why? Because nothing is coming his way to discourage him. This is the street, not some sport tournament. Punch, kick, EYE GOUGE and do whatever it takes to give pain to the attacker and discourage him from continuing. Hit him where it hurts - a knuckle or finger in the eye, a kick to the groin... Do it hard, do it fast and do it until he leaves you alone.

I know that a 7 year old Russian girl was attacked by a wolf and she managed to grab it's tounge, led it back to her house and slew it with an iron bar. Canines can snap and rip or grind with molars but they have a gag reflex just like us so once you're in past their palate survival instinct replaces attack mode. A pit-bull grabbed my stash and I had to stop him swallowing it or it could've been a bad day, for both of us. I got bitten but as soon as you get the back of the tounge the mouth opens in a retching action to clear the throat, I'm sure you could kill a dog by thrusting your hand down it's throat but it wouldn't be quick or pretty. By extension you might be able to pull this off on a bear or lion but I've no anecdotal evidence or personal experience to suggest they have the same choke response which includes gagging, freezing and spontaneous urination. Oh yeah, the standard attacking dog repelling move we was taught was to stick a thumb in its arse but I've never tried it! One other school of thought said that if you pull the dog's front legs apart, out perpendicular to the body they have a heart attack. Heard that from more than one source but someone told me it was only effective on Alsatians, which are a lot like wolves... Good luck, and don't eat the yellow snow Joe! X

This lesson was supposed to be about wild punches from a larger wild man and not against a trained larger fighter using a boxing guard! Statistical probability in high percentages indicate your assailant will not use a guard of any kind. His punches will be around three times more powerful than conventional boxing punches because, he will begin with his arms dangling naturally to the sides of his torso with clinched fist just below his hips, then raising the arm upward keeping it straight traveling near to the center-line of the opponent's face / head area as the final target zone. The front of the hand's knuckles is the striking surface. There is no cock ,then extending the arm punching and re-cock from a boxing guard but, a straight scooping motion This type of punch is called a guard-less jab or guard-less straight punch and the momentum gain of the arm travel route distance is why he will have three times the p.s.i . force on his opponent;s head target. Test it on a heavy bag and feel the power!
The variation of this type of larger wild man's punch that is far more common, is the guard-less haymaker making a side-ward ,wide, circular, swinging travel route pattern with his arms ending striking the sides of the opponent;'s head target area, The striking surface of his fist will be the the inside edge of the fist. These two types of punches described are performed by untrained thugs instinctively, generally in right and left combination..

My question is, What do you think about Tony Blauer's Spear System, Mindset, Fear management, gross motor skills vs complex?, which complex skills go out the door in a fight in favor of gross motor skills. Also, all fights are all verbal before they get physical, and the use of the flinch reflex(gross motor skill)survival mechanism. Which is why hands are up always, hands open(passive stance), not closed fists.
