I did something similar with the LACK as I found it to tall for the living room. I cut the top two shelves off as one and treated it as one main shelf for the main room and a dual shelf in the bedroom. Then I bought another LACK and did the same. What’s great is my iPad fits perfectly in the shelf

It is a small, lightweight shelf. If you screw it on carefully it should hold up well.

They're sorta of difficult getting to fit snug and secure. I acually made little wall mounts that fit inside those little square cut outs that are all around the screw mount area so it has a little more to hold onto. Definitely isn't for putting more than a couple books on. But with my method I can sit on my shelf

I chose screws with matching heads. Then I fitted the anchors to the screws.

I used white one for plasterboard. Black one for bricks/concrete. I recommend screws with conical head.
