So beautiful and look as if they are right out of a Fairy Tale : )
beautifully made, as always. Love seeing the variety of projects you make.
Those are beautiful, I would just set and look at them. I wouldn’t want to wear them out or get them dirty! You are so very talented with all the stuff you do.
Love the boots!
Amazing! You're giving me all kinds of ideas! I love these!
Great! That’s exactly why I make these videos - to give people new ideas to try!
these came out wonderful!!! now I want to make my own
they are so neat you are very talented. Thank you for sharing
Thank you and you’re welcome!
Such a beautiful work❤
Thank you!
these look very nice and warm! may I ask where you got the pattern for the shoes?
It is from a Finnish book called ”Tallukkaat”. However, a better way would be to take pattern straight from the lasts. That way you could get the boot fit better on the last. @NicoleRudolph has some videos on how to do it.
thank you
Hello Katja. This is such a great tutorial on how you made your boots. I've been wanting to make my own shoes or boots for a while and just haven't had the time. This makes me feel that I can achieve a good result myself. May I ask if you had the last made especially for your foot size? I was wondering if I could manage to make these without having a last as I thought they were expensive to buy and I use mainly thrifted materials when I sew and craft.
I feel you've set me on the path of making a pair of boots for myself and I'll link you to my own video when I eventually get round to doing it. Thank you.
I have found my lasts in a thrift store. However, you can also buy them from Etsy or you could try to ask a local shoemaker for a source. I do wonder if one could use a person’s foot with the right shoe size as a last. Perhaps one could pin the sole in place while the other person was wearing the shoe?
Thank you for your reply. I'll see what I can find or just try and fit to my own foot somehow 👍
Absolutely beautiful!
Where did you get your lasts?
Thanks! I think I found these lasts from some thrift store.
They are beautiful! How long did it take you to make them?
I didn’t really rush with this project and took long breaks. I could make these in a few days easily and without working myself into sweat.
@withmyhandsdream I'm impressed, you do such lovely work. 😍
These are lovely, but I liked your first pair better. The colorful embroidery was so perfect. Can you tell me where you found your thimble? I don't have that kind, but i want one!
I use Clover brand thimbles. I love them as they can be adjusted to fit your finger. If I only could find them every time I sew!
