@@VergilDarkslayer Eh, Force Unleashed is clumsy and button mashy. I love those games don't get me wrong, but Fallen Order has very measured, engaging combat, while Force Unleashed was very much a hack and slash that also had force power spamming.
Could’ve had more planets and there were a few minor nit picks I have, but it still deserves the rating it got.

3 years later and this game is still the best single player Star Wars Game ever. Played exactly like a original Star Wars movie with some great prequel throwbacks. Honestly - solid 9/10.
Edit- and the story was just incredible. Slightly different than what we saw in the past but the message they portrayed in game were honestly some of the best Star Wars content we’ve ever gotten. Especially what Cordova says to Cal on Illum. Great stuff

@@iamjoshuaiam it's free linear, if that makes sense? Large open areas you're welcome to explore before going in the right direction, though there's no side quests. All exploration is for the sake of cosmetic items and health/force upgrades

I feel like that could work if you play as some type of mercenary like a Mandalorian. You could hop from planet to planet and be able to visit major cities and wilderness on each planet. Something at least on the scale of Middle Earth: Shadow of War or Assassin's Creed Odyssey would be nice.

Between the exploration, combat, and Metroidvania-like design, it feels like this game took every great idea and innovation in gaming over the past 15 years and and molded them together perfectly. And for someone like me who isn’t even a Star Wars fan to be so captivated that I really wanted to play this, it really speaks to the game’s quality.

sami mansour naw I’d say 8 while the soundtrack and story can be great, the dialogue can be rather horrible at times, and again the gameplay by episode 8 got really tedious, the world being so empty outside of mules and BTs also makes it very boring to explore

Just started playing this but it never ceases to amaze me how game studios can create a better story/SW experience than the recent movies.
I’ve been playing for about 5 hrs now and I’m honestly shocked at how fun this game is. It’s super addicting and the combat is so smooth.

I remember back in the days when I had an n64 and I was playing Zelda: Ocarina of time.
Back then, we didn't have the technology for walkthroughs or hints. We use to purchase books for walkthroughs and guides. I remember spending hours on that game without no Hints or the internet. It was frustrating , but really fun when you solved something or get stuck.
I decided to play this game without any hints, walkthroughs or google. And man, i gotta say...This was so fun getting stuck for hours, trying to solve something. It bought back that feeling from back in the days.
I highly recommend playing this game without hints or the internet. It's so fun.

Without the doubt the toughest ‘boss fight’ in this game is the boss fight called’Find your way back to the Mantis’ - even DS gave us fast travel. I seriously hate exploring in this game now, as I don’t find the rewards enough of an incentive to spend ages walking around such a confusing map.
This game would be 10x better with fast travel.
You need to open up the shortcuts as you progress.

All we need for a part 2: you can switch to a gun/blaster and you can customize it like the lightsaber. More “world” to “explore” all we have is just big obstacle courses with not much to stop and enjoy all you do is go forward. We need more places to go, like a bar or a store. With side quests and people you can interact with. NPC’s living their life’. Maybe more character customization, change my hair color would be cool. Also have BD-1 be able to be tucked in and look like a backpack, I find BD-1 to be distracting and takes me out a bit.

Respawn Entertainment is really showing their class.
Two very high quality titles in a single year.
Apex Legends and Star Wars (which was previously butchered by other studios).
They got my huge respect.
Every game so far that they've made has been decent to great. It's because they aren't EA's slaves. They make games how they want. EA told Respawn to put a feature in Titanfall that they didn't want to put in, so they refused to do so. Released Apex Legends without even telling EA what they were making
Now we need Titanfall 3. The T2 campaign is one of the best FPS campaigns I've played. I'm doing it on Master difficulty to get 100% acheivements.

Dark souls is way better than this lol, by a mile. Only the combat system is far superior. The combat system of fallen order is ridiculous. Because its terribly made. It could be great, but it isnt the case, because of a terrible design and flaws everywhere. You dont feel like you are actually killing a boss, you feel like you are trying to survive all the time using only two abilities and expecting to have some luck because most of them are completley useless against bosses lol.Thats the combat system of this game. Hideous.
The Era between episode 3 and 4 is so intriguing to me. I like the slight overlap as clones turn into stormtroopers and memory of the jedi for most people begins to fade. This game catches my attention because I can look through Audio logs and Holograms of Jedi and Clone troopers but the enemies I fight are more Original trilogy.

I have never been a fan of the Star Wars franchise, but this game is a wonderful introduction into that world. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and the game play. The only major gripes I have, only one weapon (no laser pistols or anything) and it was way to short!! I hope they make some DLC for this and continue to build of this!! Great job!!
But well in jedi lore they do not use blasters because it is uncivilized for a jedi, but cal also kills stormtroopers brutally which is also uncivilized so well...

Same here. I find it extremely overrated and disappointing to be honest. Ive had it since January and I've played in very short bursts because I'm just not clicking with it. The controls, like you said, really turn me off.
@@stucazzo2000 IMO, there is nothing wrong with the controls and the “clunkiness” is something I didn’t experience whatsoever. I actually seen quite a few of streamers who didn’t have problems either.
Quite anecdotal evidence(compared to the amount of sales) but I think it still counts.

The reason why this game is great is because of Cal's story arc. The slow build up of force gives you a unique Jedi experience.
Nothing is unique about this slow paced crap game

There are a couple more force powers than those mentionned. You can throw lightsaber (very useful) and another ability I used only once by mistake.
Most underrated part of this game (because it was not in the review at all) are the Storm-Troopers. Their writing is so amazing and in many parts reminded me a bit of Valves Writing (especially for Portal 2)
