Then, in GxK New Empire she full blown stops cooling the ice caps and is challenging Goji, so her only usefulness at that point is to be his lunch. This is gone over in he novelization for the new movie and in various comics that take place in this universe
There’s actually lots to the story. You have to watch Monarch & the Graphic novels to get it all. One f the novels even ends with the beginning of his scrap with Scylla. So, yeah. I wish they hadn’t done that. But, sadly…it’s true.

He attacked the Apex facility where they were building Mecha-G because he sensed Ghidorah and he attacked airforce and navy shooting at him in the ocean when he came after Kong at sea. Actually in Godzilla 2014 he did try to go out of his way to try and avoid naval ships diving under them and had no intention of destroying the bridge also depicted in Monarch Legacy. They literally pushed him through the direction of the bridge while bombing him. lol
Godzilla gave Tiamat a choice move or die. Godzilla gave Scylla a choice stop or die. They both chose poorly, Godzilla killed them and set them as an example that no Titan is bigger or greater than the Natural Balance that Godzilla protects.

My biggest complaint with the movie was the fact that these two fights were just kinda rushed through. If you don’t read the comics or watch the Monarch show, you don’t really know; & they just feel like two fights to show Godzilla & rhyme with Kong’s solo fights. When Godzilla kills Tiamat, Kong is fighting that lake serpent thing, & both get wrapped up similarly. I want to watch the show. I just haven’t had the chance to get AppleTV+ or whatever. I wasn’t aware of the comics till a couple of weeks ago - in fact, I found out _after_ seeing the movie, & wound up coming across things like this. It feels like the shortest Monsterverse film, at just under 2 hours. It could’ve used another 20-30 minutes, to explain these a bit more. However, I believe they didn’t because they wanted this one to be more along-centric, as Godzilla had one more solo movie than Kong (in terms of each other) & GvK felt a bit more GZ-focused…these not considering the villain leaned more into Kong’s world, with a GZ undertone. Anyway… TL;DR: Simply put, think this being the shortest Legendary MV movie (at just under 2 hours) could’ve benefitted from another 15-25 minutes, in order to explain _some_ of this; as not _all_ of us have watch Monarch &/or read the graphic novels. That said… I LOVE this movie! Just to be able to go t the movies and have fun, and mark out with my son.

I think it was fair for Godzilla to kill Tiamat when given the context of the comics. In there she tried to ambush and kill Godzilla, even temporarily blinding him, but he was able to overpower her and she surrendered. In New Empire we see that after her battle with Godzilla she disobeyed Godzilla, similar to Scylla, and began siphoning energy from the solar energy well and was becoming a more powerful threat. The Monarch files in the movie list Tiamat as a “Destroyer” type Titan. Since she tried to kill Godzilla in the past and now after he let her go she had gained even more power and tried to attack him again, I don’t blame him for killing Tiamat.
Tiamat was done dirty. We barely got to see her full body, let alone her abilities. She literally was chilling in her house until the landlord decided to kick her out.

I don't really like Monsterverses explanations for his actions. In the Heisei and Showa Era they never went into this much detail as why he did anything. It was basically just this monster vs that monster with reasoning largely well beyond on reach of the human understanding. It just happened and we were casual onlookers. What this series needs is Heisei Godzilla from 'Godzilla vs Destroya'.
I think it was fair for Godzilla to kill Tiamat when given the context of the comics. In there she tried to ambush and kill Godzilla, even temporarily blinding him, but he was able to overpower her and she surrendered. In New Empire we see that after her battle with Godzilla she disobeyed Godzilla, similar to Scylla, and began siphoning energy from the solar energy well and was becoming a more powerful threat. The Monarch files in the movie list Tiamat as a “Destroyer” type Titan. Since she tried to kill Godzilla in the past and now after he let her go she had gained even more power and tried to attack him again, I don’t blame him for killing Tiamat.

Scilla is supposed to keep the ice caps cooled. Not only that but after Ghidorah she only pretended to bow to Goji. In the comics she basically immediately says "f*** that" and tries to mess with him. Then, in GxK new empire in the novelization it states that she full blown just stopped cooling the ice caps and that basically triggered Goji into being like "okay, now your only use is being my lunch". He didn't kill Scilla to power up he was sick and tired of her s***. He did only kill Tiamut because of the power up tho. However at one point after king of the monsters she does try to be a cheeky c*** and attack Goji when he's weak but nothing comes of it
