If someone would have told me I would spend hundreds of hours watching someone glue paper, I would have thought, "No way!" But I've spent hundreds of hours watching you glue paper and I can't get enough! 🙂
I am also one of those that has SO ENJOYED your journey down the paper path....it has truly been fun. I imagine that if every musician out there were honest...or, let's say...most of them...each one of us had one or more of those " not so glorious " moments.... Get a lot from your videos! Relax and have fun! Can totally relate to the math brain issue. When my CPA husband and I announced we were getting married the first thing out of my father’s mouth was “ Thank God. Someone who can balance her check book!” Question…I see you do not have the “ everything is a craft supply “ quote on a tote bag. Have you thought about it? Would love to have one to carry “stuff” to my Thursday morning paper crafting group. Long live paper clips!
Your hilarious Pam, love your craftyness and all the wonderful ephemera you make, yes to Christybower, I too have spent thousands of hours watching people cut n glue, highly mesmerising, and it is definately still not enough!
Good morning Pam! 💕 Cinderella trying on the shoe always makes me think (even when I was a kid) the young prince must have been totally inebriated party night… or maybe didn’t recognize her in regular clothes and no makeup? Either way, I wouldn’t want him. 😂 Thanks for the stash making tips. Always good to have things at the ready. 👍 Have a great Saturday Outpost Gang! 💕
Scrappers confession; Ive been a scrapbooker for years and yet to do my 1st junk journal. Ive been collecting things to start one. This idea will help me out greatly! Thank you. 😊
Sunny you and your mom made me laugh so much I spit out my coffee!☕️☕️☕️. Pam, I have never thought about pre-making decorated pages! It’s a super idea! Love to all❤
Bahahahaha! I really enjoyed your Chihuahua’s, I mean Yoda’s, I mean Sunshine’s commentary today. ❤️ of course, i also enjoyed your variety of craft bits. 😊
This is a great idea. I have been asked to make a Journal for a friend of a friend and don't have the journal made yet, sooooo I will do what you have just demonstrated. I will make the pages to glue into the journal when I have made it.!!! Thanks so much for this great idea. Don't know why I didn't think of it 🥰
Aww Sunny is so cute and I love the voice you do for him, thank you for all that you share with us crafters it's amazing, and you make me laugh with your chatter, Steph from the UK x
I laugh so much when you put Sunny up there. My husband is always telling me I'm goofy because all of our pets have a voice and I make them have conversations. So I guess, yes, I am guilty of the goofy. But everyone can tell that is Sunny's voice. I say that every time to my hubby--you can hear Sassy speaking that way, can't you? Right? Right?
I always enjoy watching your videos and learning techniques I can use in art journals. I don't make or even like junk journals but love to watch you create and always love, love, LOVE seeing little Sunny. That makes my day. TFS.
Too funny! I can't tell you how many times I've come so close to drinking my dirty paint water! LOL! Thanks for some more great ideas! I don't have a journal going right now, and this is a great idea, to premake page add ons. Should be easy to store if I keep them all similiar sized, as well! Storage is always a challenge! Thank you!
I haven’t made a junk journal yet but I’m getting things ready. After I make my granddaughters baby album . I’m excited to start, I have tons of papers to use up. Thank you for sharing.
Good morning Pam💕 I love book pages, especially the children's school books but they are getting harder to find. Thanks for the project sharing and hello to Sunny🐶 Have a beautiful day, hugs! 🤗
I would much rather ants than Asian beetles but I have them both. Along with many other insects. Glad you working on my question from the other day. Thank you!
Sonny looks like he is saying “here we go again” lol…he is just too cute…I love your ideas Pam…I haven’t been able to do much lately because of too many appointments and am real tired when I get home, but I can relax and watch though…I’m getting back into crafting today
Hi Pam - love your ideas and inspiration! Noticed you added Distress ink to your Oxide pad... two different formulas so you may have some changes in the pad.
Good morning miss Pam , happy Saturday everyone! I used to pre make pages to be added into my journals haven’t done it in awhile. Thanks for reminding me that I can still do it even without a journal at the ready. Have a lovely day, hugs and blessings ❤️🤗🙏
Hi Pam After my computer crashed a few months ago, I was heartbroken that I couldn't comment but alas I still was about to watch you on TV so didn't miss your videos. Just so you know, I started my hot flashes when I was 45 and now some 20 years later still get them!!! So they are never ending! Our house is built on sand so we have loads of ants trying to get in through the basement window. My solution was to decorate the window sills with used coffee grains...they hate it. They decided to move indoors but were quickly shot down with a shot of Fabreeze.....the good thing it smells good and cleans up nicely with a paper towel but leaves a residue and makes the floor slippery especially on marble floors! Nevertheless it works! and the ants were never seen again. Have a great day!
They don’t like peppermint essential oil either. (Careful though, it could loosen or potentially dissolve paint if applied too thickly) diatomaceous earth works well sprinkled around perimeter of house, but that will kill good bugs also because the particles get into their exoskeleton and they dry out. Not a pesticide, but still a powder you don’t want pets or children to get into their lungs. Food grade is still a fine powder that you don’t want to breathe.
Love the flute story. The same thing happened to me at my first violin recital.. It was min turn to play, and I started, and restarted and started again, and finally gave up and went and sat down. could not play anything
Morning' Pam. I watched your video on options for sealing wax yesterday so today I'm experimenting with using crayons instead of sealing wax. Haven't had any success yet but I'm still trying. 😁 Great project idea today. I will get around to trying it eventually but today it's all about sealing wax alternatives. 😊TFS Regards to the menagerie and Papa too. Hope you all have a great day. 🌞
Donna, today I saw someone add some of a hot glue stick to the crayon. About equal parts glue stick to same amount crayon. I have NOT tried this! She cut crayon and glue stick into the spoon on heated it. Hope this helps! 😊
@@brendalaws2225 interesting idea. Glue stick is usually a plastic or silicone. It would give some structure to the crayon wax. (And perhaps some translucency?) you could always get beeswax beads and add them to the crayon. That would be more like historical wax seals. The new ones are all part (or mostly) plastic. Just make sure your stamp is made of metal. The wax needs that cool surface as a heat sink to make a good clean impression. You want it to be mostly cool when before you lift off the seal. If it’s still liquid at all, it will fail. The bigger the piece of metal, the faster your wax will solidify.
@@brendalaws2225 sorry I just saw this. I have tried adding crayon to wax and it was better. I also discovered by melting it like Pam did instead of chunks into a melting spoon worked better also. Still experimenting. Thanks much. ❤️
Hi Pam. Arf arf Sunshine! (Translation: “Good Morning.) This may be a dumb question but I’m going to ask anyway. If I am making a regular 8.5x11 JJ, How do bind the papers in? Thank you in advance should you happen to answer my question.

I have no idea just how feasible it (my idea) is, though. I only have 1 of these albums (and its really cute so I don't want to ruin it.) And, as soon as I start cutting into the plastic sleeves... well, if it doesn't work out, it's ruined. I cannot just remove the pages, either - they are very firmly fastened in with some hidden-type binding. (Wish I could attach pics). I could, of course, just reuse the covers themselves, but... I'd rather not mess it up. I really do want one of those stamp collector / small ephemera storage books, though. I love how the pockets are clear or at least translucent so you can see what's in the pocket. The fact that they are shallow pockets for stamps makes it ideal for storage of all kinds of smaller ephemera that may get lost in the bottom of tins, etc. Plus, you can organize the stuff inside whatever way you like - by color, style, whatever makes your crafting heart happy! Great video. Blessings and Hugs 🤗
This is exactly what I was doing today (pockets) without a journal yet. Sunny put a smile on my face, maybe that's why I missed you yesterday.
Great ideas, as always. Thanks for sharing your talent and creativity.
People ask me what’s my hobby. I answer, “Gluing junk. Sewing junk into books. Gutting discarded books. Pam got me hooked.” ❤

Happy Saturday to the Outpost! 🎉 Playing with some beeswax right now to make faux vellium. Then off to catch up with Pam's newest creation! 💕

Happy Morning Pam and Sunshine! 🌞 Thank you for starting our day off in such a fun way!
Good morning Pam. It’s storming here so this is a great day to watch you & following along!

Morning Pam, hope you have a great weekend. Have you ever used vinegar to moisten you ink pads?
Omg sis what you can do with sunny ears n his voice , ventriloquist in the making
That was funny as mum mum muum
Pam, can you spritz water on ink pads with permanent inks, like the stayz-on or the ranger archival inks to re-activate them? I've yet to see someone spritz water on any pads other than the dye/oxides. I know the formulas are also different, but I don't know HOW they differ (other than one being water-soluble even after drying and the other... staying put.)
One more Q, Pam... how can I turn a photo album into a stamp/small ephemera holder?
I have a 6x6 photo album, one designed like paper protectors, with the opening in the top of the page. There's a stiff piece of paper inside each plastic sleeve.
I need to transform this without any, and I mean ANY, sewing. (One day, I'll drag my machine out and try to make a treaty of peace with it... but now is not that time lol)
My thoughts so far:
Remove the paper inserts.
Slice through each plastic sleeve (through both sides) in horizontal stripes - not sure how wide apart, but I imagine each pocket is maybe 1/2" to 3/4" deep?, and then slip the paper back in and somehow glue the bottom and sides of each slit with fabri-fix to the paper to form the shallow but long pockets needed.
Even if you can help teach me (and anyone else wanting to learn) how to make one from scratch, I'm all for it. Actually, I'd love it, as I know I'll likely end up needing a few of these over time!
I'd happily set this photo album aside instead to use as storage for my small stencils - which was the original reason I grabbed it out of the thrift store it was hiding in. 😊
Thank you Pam and anyone else who may add in their thoughts and ideas on how to either make one, or how to transform the photo album.
You can get away with adding a very small amount of water to dye based inks - it will however keep on diluting the formula. I would not try water on Staz-On or archival inks.
💗
Pam, how do you keep your pup from gaining weight?
I can make an ink pad last forever, too! :) A few ideas I have for future videos:
*Gifts for Mother’s Day for women who aren’t into journals (bookmarks, shopping list pad, recipe holder, etc.)
*Greeting cards made in junk journal style ( not the other way around… not using old greeting cards)
*transfer images from book pages using clear packing tape
Hi Pam and fellow Outposters! Question: when using a brand new felt tip dauber, do you find that it takes a ton of ink to get it filled and functional? I'm hoping the random comment picker picks me next time! Lol!
TIA and have a great weekend! 🌵😉💕
I use the foam ones that go on the “Tim Holtz” style dauber. I usually will glue one on either end of an old wooden spool to give me two color options. (I love color) I don’t seem to have too much trouble when doing a brand new one, getting color from the pad to the dauber and onto the paper. The felt side is the side I glue onto the spool. Not sure if that helps! 😁
That foreign book? It's swedish and the story is cinderella!
Pam, was just thinking what if the Braille is backwards, or upside down? Should we bother to fix it? I hope the page is not from the book, “How to cuss like a sailor for DUMMIES”.
Lol😂
