I'll translate for my Argentine friend Leon Blum: He said:
Kudos; beautiful tune and a good orchestra. "Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina".

The horn duet is SO Lu Watters--it's great to hear that playing style again.

Amazing synchronizing of those musicians as only the cake walk era could bring out - somehow you have to grab the tuba - tapper

Hi Steve, This brings back memories of York town hall, when the WA Jazz Festival was at it's height. Although Steven Grant never played with Creole Bells at York, he's a great addition in this number. The chase solo with Bob and Steven is terrific. If he can remember them and you have them recorded, what about sharing some of Fred's limerics with us all. Roy

Apropos of nothing except the young blond reminds me of it, when I was in SF in the early 80's there was a dixieland band playing in one to the bars on Polk Street. The pianist played in genderfuck (unshaven. with no makeup. in a white wedding dress) and had a lot of great stand-up material; the trumpet player (an archetypal twink who turned out to be one of the managers at my bank) played in a custom-made cub scout uniform. The music was good, the atmosphere was great. I wish there was a place like that in every major city.

Cornet is playing the right style. Soprano Sax too.

I've heard the original 5 minutes ago, and it's difficult to compare any new version with the old masterpiece by Bechet and Satch. These guys here are not bad. Trumpet lead in the first chorus could play a little more staccato, less legato. But his solo is great! The soprano stumbles around. Bone should develop a few more ideas for the next performance of that song. Piano is good. And a fine rhythm.

The banjo needs to perform solo. It sounds great, as do the other instruments.

Pity the sop' sax had such a short solo. I recon Steve came in too early! Just saying.
