  • It's been exactly 1 month since I had my double mastectomy (I'm BRCA2 positive) and I felt like I was up to doing my first cooking demo... with a lot of help from Mark of course!! Also as promised from last week, I'll show you the physio exercises I've been doing to help with the limited movement in my arms after my op.

Honestly Becky, you are a huge inspiration to me. As a long term, fellow IBS sufferer (which has been sooooo bad the last year) I often just want to curl in bed and give up but you give me the strength of mind to push myself especially seeing what you’ve been through recently. I totally get the not eating before you go out thing, I do that all the time when I’m feeling pants and need to go out! Those brownies looked beyond lush and the new look website looks fab, really eye catching 😊

@@BeckyExcell I have also just been diagnosed with eleven' luminal type A breast cancer and have brca 1. My surgeon recommended double mastectomy plus ovarian and fallopian tube removal! What do you think about the issue of removing the ovaries?

You are a wonder. I’m not sure at all, I could do what you did? I’m so glad it all went really well. I am stuck at home in Australia at the moment, with Covid. So you really cheered me up. I’m really looking forward to your new book. 💜🇦🇺

Hi Becky so glad to see you looking so well, it's amazing that you are doing so much, but like you say listen to your body and rest, rest and more rest. Mark and Peggy have your back. Love from Oz 🇦🇺💐💝🤗

Great video! You are doing really well but good to see you are not pushing yourself, you know your limitations at this time of recovery.
    Take care

Thank you, Becky, for showing your walk through your surgery and recovery. It has helped ease my mind. My younger sister just had a double mastectomy & reconstruction 2 days ago because she has breast cancer. She's already recovering really well, and surprised us all by taking a walk around the neighborhood yesterday. She'll probably have to have radiation and chemo, but we have high hopes for a full recovery!

Hi Becky,. I found you because I was diagnosed with IBS-C last year and really love your content. So sorry for your diagnosis of BRCAA. Thanks for sharing your experience and making it less scary for everyone.

Just wanted to say thank you - I have found your videos so helpful as I am recovering from a double masectomy straight to implant reconstruction. I have found them really relatable! Right I’m off to do my exercises :)

Oh i just found your video.
I have known 40 women who have had some form of breast cancer. Its so sad. Here in the USA, they dont do base line screening mammograms until, 40. All the women i know were in their 30s.
Screening baselines are really needed much younger these days.
May you have a speedy recovery.

Hi Becky. So pleased you're on the road to recovery. Your exercises are very similar to the ones I'm having to do for my 'frozen' shoulder. Keep at them, because like me you will soon see their benefits. Sending love and best wishes for a full recovery. Xx

I'm currently going through a miscarriage, little baba was supposed to be due Christmas day!, and the pain is unbelievable. I have no energy, even walking into another room drains me and I need a nap around tea time. I'm worse on a night so I snuggle on the sofa and as soon as I realise you posted a video I watch it straight away. Just seeing you, Mark and Peggy helps me smile and take my mind off things. Thank you! ❤️
