don't let Christians fool you with these cheap pseudo "criticisms" of Islam, ask yourself why it's almost always that the first thing they question is the age of Aisha RA and why not the main doctrines of Islam that are foundational to the religion!
alternatively, when criticizing Christianity, Muslims tend to go after the reliability of the bibleS, Trinity, incarnation, and the original sin. why is that!
we all know the reason so say Alhamdulillah.

    • @micahttt
      @micahttt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

The reason why Muslims tend to go to the Bible, trinity, incarnation and the original sin is because it is the doctrine of Christianity. Where the age of Aisha R.A are not the doctrine of Islam.
So the two tendency are not the same.

Zainab was not the daughter-in-law of Prophet Muhammad because her husband Zaid was not the son of Muhammad. Islam does NOT recognize adopted sons:
*God does not put two hearts within a man’s breast. He does not turn the wives you reject and liken to your mothers’ backs into your real mothers; nor does He make your adopted sons into real sons. These are only words from your mouths, while God speaks the truth and guides people to the right path. Name your adopted sons after their real fathers: this is more equitable in God’s eyes--if you do not know who their fathers are [they are your] ‘brothers-in-religion’ and proteges. You will not be blamed if you make a mistake, only for what your hearts deliberately intend; God is most forgiving and merciful. [Qur'an 33:4-5]*
Just because you call someone your son out of affection doesn't make that person your son same as you calling a woman your sister out of respect doesn't mean she'll be regarded as your sister and you can't marry her. You cannot inherit someone's name by claiming him to be your father.
Zaid can only be the son Prophet Muhammad had the the Prophet begotten Zaid or married the mother of Zaid or one of his wives breastfed Zaid as an infant but none of that happened and thus Zaid is NOT the son of Muhammad in any way and his former wife is not the daughter-in-law of the Prophet.

Here is the commentary of prominent scholar Syed Syed Abul A'la Maududi on Surah 4:23 in his Tafsir Tafheem ul Qur'an:
*38. There is consensus among Muslims that if a boy or girl is breast-fed by a woman, that woman attains the status of mother, and her husband the status of father...*
So if a woman breastfeed a child then both she and her husband will attain the status of the child's parents.

The Christian guy talking about the prophet Mohammed (PBUH) marrying of his adopted
Son divorced wife. Few points on that:
    1. he didn’t want to mention that she was divorced. He keep saying adopted son wife. Why on earth he is ignoring ex wife. So, my understanding is that, there is no term in his paradigm called ex wife.
    2. There was a concept before the islam that adopted son was like own son. They even used to call his(PBUH) adopted son zayid ibn Muhamed. But Allah prohibited that and he later know as zayid ibn Harisa. And he was married to prophet (PBUH) own cousin.
So, Zainab (ex wife of zayid) is Mohammed (PBUH) cousin first.
He wanted to establish that he married his daughter in law and she is like his daughter, but in reality she is his(PBUH) cousin as well.
And later he got caught on what his own bible says.
We Muslim believe that the immoral things written in bible can’t be word of God. These are later additions. When he came in Hamza senses that he is not genuine. He came like a sincere person and wants to study the life of prophet. But later he showed his true colour of hatred.

Just to add one point to completely debunk the Christian Time guy who said we cannot imitate the prophet(sm) by marrrying the ex-wife of our (hypothetical) adopted son. There are many laws in the Shariah that are adaptive. For example, Slavery is no longer practiced among muslims and have become adaptive due to the current context. We no longer are allowed to have adopted sons. He claimed that the prophet(sm) practiced it so now we cannot imitate him. According to his logic, we should ride in donkeys/camels, have concubines etc. regardless of what social/environmental context we're living in. This just shows that he doesn't even know that many Shariah rules are adaptive based on the environmental context that we're living in. That's what you call a proper ignorant, not to mention his standard of morality changed when it comes to the Bible.

I came from Christianity to Islam and Isa (AS) was my first big stumbling block. When I read the Quran, the question became moot. It’s well known science that the heart has a “ brain” and the presence of mirror neurones , a neuron that fires both when we act and when we observes the same action performed by another . There is also two way communication between heart and brain. So the heart provides INFORMATION to the brain.
The mirror neuron systems in the human brain help us understand the actions and intentions of other people.
And is thought to be responsible for higher sophisticated human emotions like empathy, openness , vulnerability

Abuse of women in the bible
The reason behind pains of delivery.
Genesis 3:16 - The New International Version (NIV)
    To the woman he said, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe;
with painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”
    Women menses
    Leviticus 15:19-30 New International Version
19 “‘When a woman has her regular flow of blood, the impurity of her monthly period will last seven days, and anyone who touches her will be unclean till evening.
    Women should marry her rapist
    Deuteronomy 22:28-30 New International Version
28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29 he shall pay her father fifty shekels[a] of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.
Women should not speak in the churches
1 Corinthians 14:34-35 New International Version
34 Women[a] should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. 35 If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.[b]
    Violence againt women
    Hosea 13:16 New International Version
16 The people of Samaria must bear their guilt,
because they have rebelled against their God.
    They will fall by the sword;
their little ones will be dashed to the ground,
    their pregnant women ripped open.”[a]
    Numbers 31:15-18 New International Version
15 “Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them. 16 “They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the Lord in the Peor incident, so that a plague struck the Lord’s people. 17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.
    Women can't defend
    Deuteronomy 25:11-12 New International Version
11 If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts, 12 you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pity.
Kill women who are not virgins in the wedding night :
    Deuteronomy 22:20-21 New International Version
20 If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, 21 she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you.
A woman could not divorce her husband. Only the man could make the final decision about divorce.

Typical double standards of the Christian Charles..
The Gospels contradict each other regarding the crucifixion of Jesus
What day was Jesus crucified? According to John's Gospel, a different day from the rest.
Did he die on a tree or a cross?
acts of the apostles and paul say tree gospels say cross.
Was he crucified outside Jerusalem or inside Jerusalem? One says outside, other says inside.
What were his last words? Different. LAST WORDS!!
Did he die while his mother stood by the cross or was she standing in the distance?
Did Jesus ask to be saved or did he not ask?
Did he carry his cross all the way by himself or did he get help?
    And much more.
Let's not talk about the resurrection
second point according to the NT was Jesus resurrected ON the third day or AFTER the third day?
(Matthew 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.) Start calculating….
What day should he come out the fourth. So it contradicts each other because : Mark 9:41 and AFTER three days he will rise.”vs Luke 18:33 ON the third day he will rise again.
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, ( 1 Corinthians 15:3-4?) where please?
remember well, he says: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
Math 7:3Why do you see the mote in your brother's eye, but see not the beam in your own eye?
4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me take the speck out of thine eye; and behold, there is a beam in thine own eye?
5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye

Is it me, or was there something wrong with this episode? I felt like some of the panelists seemed disinterested to be there, but it could have also been due to the quality of guests. Apart from that, a few other things caught my attention.
It would be beneficial to everyone if you guys just dealt with the person’s point first, then point out the inconsistencies in their argument. But to dismiss the question and turn it around on the questioner, seems quite unfair honestly, however, that still doesn’t dismiss some of the double standards the guests might have, yet it shouldn’t prevent us from giving them a great response to their unjust question and Alhamdulillah we do have some good answers for these questions.
Concerning the word Massiah, it comes from the root word مسح and as brother Yemani pointed out it can mean to wipe, but it can also have other meanings, such as being anointed using oil, it can also mean to clean or clear off (masaha yadu min al turaab - ie He cleared his hands from the sand). And I’m sure there are other meanings to the word, one can look further if they choose.
Concerning the guest who was asking about Zaynab bint Jahsh. I have no idea why none of the brothers cared to deal with the question. Yes, you don’t see a problem with it, but still, you could have at least empathized with the questioner and still answered their question. A background could have been given on who Zayd was and how he became the adopted son of Muhammad (saw). Plus a background on who Zaynab was as well. (ie Muhammad’s cousin) It is also important to note that it was Muhammad that pushed this marriage, while Zaynab herself was the one reluctant to marry Zayd from the beginning because he was a slave of Muhammad before adopting him. Yet after finally persuading her, they got married. So if Muhammad wanted her, he could have easily married her for himself from the start. Way more can be said about this and the wisdom behind Allah (swt) decreeing for these events to unfold this way.
It might be too much to ask of our brother Hamza, but maybe doing an Arena once a week can increase the accuracy of getting a wider range of guests. And mashallah, I’m sure finding panelists on a weekly basis shouldn’t be that hard. But more importantly, there needs to have healthy discussions and as Muslims, people should be considered innocent until proven guilty, but here it’s everyone is guilty until they prove otherwise.
    That’s my two cents.

Most of probably a soul can born like 80,000 rebirth as an animal or different creature. Then again they born as a human being. Since Allah loves unity, we should rectify ourselves and be united. Giving up things for the sake of Allah to bring unity, we must strive towards it. There are so many rude, arrogant people, himself included who speak to Hamza and the other Muslim speakers, and take advantage of their tolerance and patience, but when Hamza shuts them down, then he is accused of being intolerant or arrogant because he is not a pushover.
If the Sikh guy is upset about reincarnation being questioned, he knows it doesn't have a strong foundation, and he should reassess his belief instead of attacking Hamza and saying that he should pretend to agree with other beliefs which is what he really wants in the guise of the word "respect"
The truth is he doesn't like Sikh or Hinduism being questioned or exposed. Btw it was the Hindu man's free will to approach Hamza and claim he was there to prove Hinduism is the true religion, and that man knew his belief would be questioned.

first of all none of his wives bread feed Zayd ibn Haritha radi Allahu anhu. there is no blood relationship or suckling relationship (through breastfeeding) so it is allowed in Islam. if any of the mothers of the believers breast feed him then it would be prohibited for Muhammad alayhi salatu wa sallam to marry Zaynab bint Jahsh radi Allahu anhuma. one of his wives in same al Bukhari offered Muhammad alayhi salatu wa sallam to marry her sister which he alayhi salatu wa sallam rejected because it's prohibited in Islam. there was offer of his wive if i'm not mistaken to marry her suckling sister (same woman breastfeed them both) he alayhi wa sallam rejected it. he alayhi salatu wa sallam tried to reconcile between them couple times, it didn't work. then later he alayhi salatu wa sallam married her. and Muhammad alayhi salatu wa sallam did not raised Zayd bint Haritha radi Allahu anhu from his childhood time, he was already grown. he was slave and Muhammad alayhi salatu wa sallam freed him if i'm not mistaken and he refused to return home with his real father and preferred to stay with Muhammad alayhi salatu wa sallam. is he was his adopted son? or did he lived in house of Muhammad alayhi salatu wa sallam? is he was from his household? i don't know because i dont remember narration in al Bukhari if it says that he was adopted son of Muhammad alayhi salatu wa sallam. however i know for sure that none of the wives of Muhammad alayhi salatu wa sallam breastfeed him and he was not raised by Muhammad alayhi salatu wa sallam or his wives as a child. and i don't think that he was living in same house with Muhammad alayhi salatu wa sallam because there wasn't suckling bond between him and any wives of Muhammad alayhi salatu wa sallam. so he wouldn't be allowed to live with them in same house. and Muhammad alayhi salatu wa sallam is the one who got them married and she was his (prophet's) cousin. so there is no problem whatsoever on that marriage. la adri wa Allahu alam
