19 seconds in and this is the video ive been looking for all through youtube! Thanks man! Plenty of lever arm videos and every shows the same thing over and over! Plenty of ideas i had i saw in this video! Ive had my lever arms in a box for over a year….its 5 am and im putting mine together!! Thanks again man
Greetings from Australia...I have to say i found so many options with my trainer /weight stacks and cable system tower...Amazing the imagination become wild and before you know it you have more options at home than at the public gym .Thank you for sharing with us some others exercises I didn't thought about .So far I memorized 100 exercises ( well my setting book does as i can't remember all the settings yet. Being a natural athlete for the past 37 years , competed with ABA /INBA SINCE 1994 and started competing in France back in 1988 ( that wasn't any drug free federations back then but I was drug free .Keep on sharing keep on showing your new inventions....Looking for to view more content ..Take care Matt .
Yo! This video is awesome! Thank you so much for the amazing tips. I have my new rack coming in within a couple of days and I can't wait to purchase the gym or arm so I can implement this into my program. Thank you for the amazing content!
Bro you are a genius I never bought jammer arms because of the little resistance at the bottom of the lift. Recent studies show more muscle growth when there is lots of resistance in the stretched portion of the lift. Most exercises done with lever arms provide next to none. This solves that issue. Cheers
Dude!! Thiis is so freakin' helpful!! I've had my lever arms for a few months and I've tried the chest press, but I never thought to attach my cables. This is an entirely new world of exercises!! I've kept my gym membership just so I could go once a week to properly work my legs or whatever other but this completely changes everything!!
Happy to help!! Truly changes everything and makes pretty much any exercise possible. It's not perfect for every exercise, but it makes a real big difference
This dual cable tower can be mounted to a wall. I wonder if you threw in a Powertec workbench that can slide back on its base, if you could then get behind the lever arms for presses. If so, that could be one hell of a small footprint setup.
Some great ideas I never thought of, and easy to setup. The high rows is a great idea and the dips are going to be great for people not strong enough to do a regular dip. I am glad I bought these rogue lever arms. Worth every $., Just joined your channel. Keep up the videos !!
Game-changing idea! I added my functional trainer behind a BOS Hydra Battle Station sliding lever arm setup based on your idea. Absolutely love it. Thanks a million for sharing this! I cite credit to you in the home gym groups when I post about it. I replaced my GMWD leverage gym with BOS based entirely on this video.
Thanks Cody! More than happy to do some more videos. I've got a couple more in the works for different things in the home gym so hopefully they help you!
Love this video. I'm thinking about getting the Rep PR5000 rack with the Aires attachment and I wanted to see how I can work in lever arms with that pully system. This answered all my questions despite being a different rack.
Did you ever try this? I had the same thought but it looks like the ares has the cable coming in front of the upright so if you ever wanted to put the pulley below the level of the arm like for the chest press I think the cable would be in the way of attaching the jammer arm. With all that said, the bigger advantage of the set up, seems to be with the pulley above the jammer arm did do things like pull downs, or the leg thing he was doing because in the other orientation, you are already pushing against gravity just need to load the jammer arm with plates
Excellent material... Makes this a valuable question for all viewers: Where / who makes / sells a lat device that fits inside an existing rack so we copy cat what your doing... Will search to see if I can come up with a solution... Brilliant idea that kinda sounds like the fellow who came up with the idea for a safety squat bar... My creativity is in field of computer software : But obviously this young man did a bingo on his novelty idea to provide a much needed solution to a problem facing all of us men confined to working out in a garage gym setting... Thanks again.. Be Safe...
Those are great tips @MattRosenman! I have just one doubt, this setup works like a charm for you because your tower has two cables that come from the side of the upright, so you can put your cable down, mount the arm up, and do a chest press. I'm planning to buy a Rep 5000 with the Ares attachment, and the cables are just in front of the upright, so I think I can't mount the arm if the cables are in the down position... Do you think it could work in that case? Maybe using the cables from the low row instead? Thanks!
Hoping you can figure out how to hack something on these lever arms that replicate a rear delt machine. I have these arms and use a lot of the set ups that your other video showed me. Great work !!
I rigged up my lat pull attachment to mimic your leg press idea. It’s pretty good but not as smooth. I have Titan pulley towers on either side of my rack, just need to figure out the right placement. You really have the perfect setup.
Thanks! Keep playing around with it. Home gyms are a lot of trial and error to make things work for your space. And ultimately you could always sell what you have and buy other pieces if it didnt work out for ya
Now go take a look at the Tytax machine videos for more inspiration on additional creative ideas. They have been doing this for 10 years with the MX, M2, and M1 leverage machines as well as the T1-X machine coupled with the JA jammer arm option. I want to integrate a squat rack with jammer arms in with my Speediance cable machine. I have owned the Tytax M1 in the past and have a T1-X on order, and there are so many creative options to borrow from this innovative but overlooked company.
Ended up buying the plate loaded cable tower squat stands because of your review! Replaced my cheap amazon rack. The towers are super stable after bolting them to my wall and platform. Next purchase is going to be the lever arms for sure. The amount of exercise variations you can have with lever arms alone is unreal, pairing them with the pulley tower is game changing. Your videos have absolutely convinced me to go all in on the Bells of Steel "eco-system". Great work on these videos and I can't wait to see more from you!
That makes me so happy to hear!! The lever arms are absolutely worth the purchase. If there’s ever anything I can help with let me know- whether it’s for a video or just a quick comment. Sounds like we’ll have really similar setups so I’ll try to help the best I can
@@zacharypower3292 Haven't got the lever arms yet. Probably will wait until next year. Incline bench works great, the feet for the bench actually go behind the front floor mounts for the towers so no clearance issues for my particular case.
Ca the selectorized one work with this instead of loading plates?? Also iam assuming the leverage arms need to be removable instead of been in a throlleybsystwm since u need to be moving ft pulleys up and down?? How cumbersome is to attach and remove leverage arms every time?? I know this is why people are getting the vendetta adapters. Tjeyvare selling me a pair of 35" rogue arms with vendetta and gyp pin adapters for $1400. I currently have selectorized ft, selectorized stand alone lat pull down, stand alone rhino belt squat and foldable titan x3 and many other things. I have isolator coming too so trying to make little space to mount it permanently. So I was thinking about buying rogue rack to drop innrhino and buying the rogue leverage arms but after seeing ur video I don't know what to do. Lol.
This is a perfect set up. Inspired me to do this and get a bells of steel rack, lever arms, and x2 pulley towers. My only concern is the feet of the towers protruding into the rack so much that my adjustable bench won't be able to roll in and out of the rack, and I would use these attachments on the front of the rack since the back would be against my garage door. How do you navigate using your bench, just lift it up and over every time you have to move it? I also wish the tower were 3x3 so I could go with the hydra rack instead of light commercial.
I notice this works well for movements to go or out. Have you found a hack with the pulley system that allows you to go up with the pulleys, such as shoulder press? I suppose it is just hooking the cables to the bottom of the lever arms just the same? Answered my question since you can hook from the bottom, and as you show on your other video chains holding in place from the top.
Curious if you've done belt squats with lever arms and if so how did they feel on your knees and did the leverage make the weight feel like a lot less? If I did 350lbs on it how much would that feel?
If you position the anchor point at the bottom of the cable towers and use the exact same setup for the high rows how well does it replicate the Hammer Strength Iso Lateral row Machine? That is one of my favorite machines and I was curious if it would work the same.
Is there a way to attach a partial rack to the front to permanently attach the lever arms with the vendetta attachment so you're not constantly removing the lever arms, but still able to use the cables by themselves. Looks like you'd just need to space two uprights a bit from what the pulley mechanism is attached too, but I'm not sure there is a front attchment point like there is the back in order to accomplish this. Or if you did a rack that overlaps these pulley racks if can't attached to the front, thus if you could basically go over the top via a rack that basically fits overtop of these pulley racks, like putting a cardboard box over a trash can if that visual works to explain.
What other pulley systems can this work on? Many systems like the Rep Athena, the cable comes from the top can center of the post. Wouldn't this get in the way of the lever arm if you wanted to attach from the bottom. I like that your BOS system has the cables running down the sides of the post. I want to set up a system like this but on a 3x3 rack. Does anyone know a pulley system that would work?
is there a way to load 1 inch plates on this machine? i have 400lbs in 1 inch plates and dont want to buy 2 inch plates lol. are the weight horns 1 or 2 inch. if 2 can it be modded for 1?
Great video. Deciding on this or the Iron master system with their pro bench and all the attachments including their trainer. Quick question any hacks or extensions to do leg extensions/curls and back extensions ? Thanks in advance
Great video. Lots of useful information. Just a clarification for Titan racks and their lever arms: Their holes are actually 11/16". How do I know? Because I bought their lever arms for my 5/8" holed rack and was left boring out holes just to get the pin in.
Im upgrading my home gym. But due to limited budget and space i can only add lever arms to my rack or buy dual adjustable cable station (i have upper lower pulley already). Which do you think is more versatile, level arms or dual pulley?
Wish I could do this with my rack and lever arms, but unfortunately to use the lever arms the cables must be at the top out of the way. The cable runs down the front of the rack where the lever arms attach otherwise. Trying to figure out if there's a way round this.
This is a great idea, BUT you shouldn’t only use one side of the cable towers like that, since it’ll fuck up the cable due to it having 2 exit points. You need to use something like their T connector to connect both exit points together. Then you can attach a carabiner to it and then to the handle to do this hack, and it’ll be fine. An alternative idea would be to bolt on like an eyelet or something onto one of the lever arm holes, then attach the carabiner to that Just an fyi, still love this video and your content!
Hi. I think that what you've done with the lever arms is absolutely brilliant - but I've got some questions. At 1:43 in, you say you've got your lever arms attached, but it looks like you're attaching something else, maybe like a dip attachment. Also, what difference does the hole size make? My rack has pulleys just like yours, but it has 1" holes. Finally, I noticed that depending on the exercise, you've got the pulleys high on your rack, and sometimes low on your rack which means that you had to remove and reattach the lever arms. Are they easy to remove and reattach? Thanks!
Check out the lever arm video on my channel! You can see them in action closer up and it will answer everything for ya. These lever arms are for a specific size, but other companies (like Titan) make their own to accommodate different sizing!
If you're talking about the towers, that could definitely work. if you're referring to the arms themselves, I wouldnt attach them to the squat stand because it would not be stable enough

Matt get a calf block in front of 1 of the towers. Dip belt n connect to pulley low height. Now u have standing calf raise. It works really well.
