Some cool interactions in this one. I liked the silent freshie you met after that violent experience with the weirdly ambivalent cowboy. The former seemed like a nice person (despite breaking the first rule of DayZ lol).
I agree with your early reflections - DayZ is quite beautiful. I really enjoy the landscapes and environment in general. And, similar to you, I'm completely hopeless without a compass despite 700+hrs of play. Maybe it's lame but I don't even bother trying to navigate properly until I've got one.
Just so you know, when you open cans with a can opener you lose almost no food in the opening process, so it's often worth keeping one in the early to mid game for efficiency's sake. You lose more food opening a can with anything else (hatchet and shovel being among the worst).
Can't wait for the next instalment!
I really enjoyed the interactions. The guy who broke my leg was definitely something new and didn’t really think people run around the spawn areas looking for freshies! The other one with no mic I wanted to help him out even though he didn’t speak. Yes if I don’t have a compass I get lost very quickly. That makes a lot of sense, thanks for the tip I will definitely keep my eye out for a tin opener. Little bits of knowledge like that are very useful. Thank you ❤️
Btw, the volume on your videos is perfect! It sound quite compared to other cideos but it allows me to listen to it quietly or loudly by turning my volume up and down. Most videos that i watch are two lound and i have to set my phone to like 1/4 of a click.

I agree, my looting is way better. Yes I’m going to ignore the apartments from now on. As it was my first proper interactions I was feeling nice, wanted to help a fellow survivor out!
You should also try ramping up the pop of your servers as you get better at the game.

Sometimes people are shy to speak but maybe you could ask him to write in chat. The chat would appear bottom left

Don’t drink the water
Yes I assumed I met a freshie hunter! I’ve heard about them in videos. I never trusted him! But it turned out well. I’m glad I didn’t drink the water to begin with, something told me not to do so. Then he gave me the tablets to purify the water. Was definitely an experience!
Do you have to tap 'caps lock' when using the mic? or what does caps lock even do?
I use ‘T’ for push to talk. I don’t think caps lock does anything

The tall apartments at start of vid, do they even spawn loot?
I only have about 20 hours on the game but have searched them 3 seperate times and not found anything at all!?
Im the same. I’ve searched them a handful of times and have found nothing. Definitely will be skipping past these in the future
