- Vegan Blueberry Scones
A little bit flakey, a little bit crumbly, and a lot flavorful. Whether you're vegan or not, you will fall in love with these scones!
Ingredients:
- flour
- baking powder
- ground flax seed
- sugar
- salt
- vegan butter
- oat milk, almond or coconut is fine
- vanilla extract
- lemon zest
- blueberries

½ts salt
½ cup sugar

8 Tb cold butter
-like sand-
¾cup almond milk
Ts vinella
-mix-
1 cup blueberrys
-fold-
I inch thick
Bake at 400° for 22min
Cool for 10

This recipe was a SHI**SHOW... The dough was very very watery, I added a whole 1KG of flour. A whole package of flour and it was still watery and sticky. I follow all the instructions ... I don't know what happened.
Should start with 1/2 cup milk & make sure the butter is super cold

Vegan butter? Is that just margarine?

No. Vegan butter has been around for years.
Depends, most normal margarines where I live at least, have animal fat
But there is vegan margarines made from vegetable oils
Most of them are just margarine (which is HORRIBLE for you), but there are some that use a blend of oils that are ok. For example Miyoko’s use a blend of coconut oil, cashew ‘milk’, and sunflower oil. Sunflower oil isn’t really good for you but then again neither are flour and sugar (None of them are as bad as margarine/canola/‘vegetable’ oil spreads though)
What the feck is vegan butter?
Butter that's vegan and hardens when cold. Same like Margarine. Made with oils.
Margarine should be illegal. It’s closer to drinking liquid plastic than it is to eating butter
