It's amazing what a nice set of wheels, some tint and a slight drop will do for a car. Most people who "customize" their cars should stop there. Beyond that, you are on the expressway to KlownKar town.

I 3d printed my own for my P85D and have have been running them the last 70K miles. Obviously you need to align the car as lowering will increase negative camber and toe. You'll probably need adjustable upper arms. That said, the plaid control arms are no longer fastened to the cradle with tabs but rather bolted laterally into the cradle which means that reducing negative camber should be as simple as a properly designed shim.
Be warned, if you bring your Plaid to Tesla for any suspension related work which includes replacing the main battery, they will do a ride height calibration and if you have the lowering links on, your car will now rise to stock height WITH the lowering links.
Conversely, with Toolbox, if you can get your hands on a copy, you can do the ride height calibration yourself and LIE about the height to lower the car WITH the stock links.
The best reason to lower the car an inch is to save your cv/half shafts from bending the ball channels since the stock height exceeds the max angle design limits of that joint which is why so many have acceleration vibration issues from those shafts. It's the reason I lowered mine. After 4 sets of half shaft replacements, the problem never returned after I lowered it an inch.

It gives you too much negative camber, causing the inside of the tires to wear. You'll probably need to get an alignment after lowering the car to fix it. Some additional parts may be required to get the camber back into spec while it is lowered.

very cool man. I must admit I thought this video was going to suck. but electric is the future and I'm here to learn. this reminds me of being a ford master tech back in 1996-1998 at the ford Lincoln mercury dealership in PA. the Lincolns had air suspension they would raise or lower based of load( self leveling). that sensor arm adjuster and sensor is basically the same as what they used. however, however, when the air compressor went bad the system did not work or took forever to fill the air bags. then the over time the air bags would leak, YIKES !!!! back then at the dealership they the parts were costly $$$$$. and YES, TESLA SUPERFANS THROW ROCK AT ME ,I know I know its a tesla they never break, they don't need any maintenance ever. but yeah when the customers came into the dealership for service we use to take soapy water and spray around the all of the air suspension component to test for leaks, the lines and the bags. so ,so ,so what I'm just some old bozo grease monkey , anyways that's my 2 cents 1+1=2. great video man liked and subbed...

The point is that it is way too expensive for what it is.
This thing is from factory out of plastic, because it is only an indicator for the sensor, where the car is right now.
      So it is definitely overengeneered.
Adjustable is of course good. But you can also make a pack of 20 plastic pieces with different lengths (5 different with 4 of the same lengths) and sell the pack for 30$.

Good afternoon !!! I would like to know where I can find a kit like this for my Plaid? I participate in launch tests but it takes a long time for the dragstrip mode to lower the car and get ready… Here, reaction time counts!! could you help me to improve this time of preparation for the launch ? thank you for your attention.

since you got the smaller diameter wheels did your range increase ? there is supposed to be a 48 mile difference in range from the 19" to the 21", was there a setting for the 20's with better range than the 21's?

Does the added tire width or larger overall diameter have adverse effects on range or acceleration?

Gta love tesla . Quality plastic suspension components to help save them money and cost you more

Most vehicles with ride height sensors use plastic elbows like that. But ya, you're right. It's definitely not just tesla, though.

Are you sure the front tires aren’t rubbing when you drop it into cheetah stance? Looks suuuper low.

Hey Brooks, how does this affect daily driving? For those who don't really track their Plaid, would this still be a good setup for a daily driver?

Don’t own a Tesla. When you launch in Cheetah does the nose stay down the entire run or revert to original setting? It looks like you would have some fender interference if you turned the wheel in Cheetah.
