Sorry, Basa Pete, I forgot to thank you for posting your how-to video on how to improve mowing by using lift wing blades. Happy New Year to you, too! And, happy mowing!
I had a problem with my new mower with a 30" blade not picking up mowed grass and leaves. So, I removed the blade, and welded on lift wings. Checked the blade for balance, and finding it perfect, put it back on. Prior to adding the new wings, I had to make 3 passes in order to get all of the debris into the bags. After the modification it clears all debris in one pass. A year, later, after using it all summer and fall I removed the blade to check my welds, and found them looking the same, as when I welded them on. I'm not suggesting just anyone attempt to add wings, like I did, unless he or she is skilled in many welding applications, so they can competently accomplish the desired outcome.
I've been looking for this video! I'm going to order some as my chute clogs constantly, especially if I let the grass get too long. I've been curious about the hybrid high lift mulching blades as well.
Thank you for your comment. It's been really wet here as of late. Believe it or not, I had cleaned the mower deck just before mowing. It only took a minute to make that mess. Even with all that grass stuck to the bottom of the deck, the new high-lift blades were able to blow hard enough to stop the clogging. I mowed for nearly three hours and not once did it clog.

Welding wings on your blade is a great idea. Have a Happy New Year!

I've never tried the hybrid blades.
Dry grass "might" make life easier.
Thank you for your comment.
Yes, dry grass is much easier to mow.
The next requirement is a clean deck for air flow and dry grass if possible.

What is the air flow dial called? I like that feature
Thank you for your question.
It's a "Full Bag Indicator."
Clean all that caked grass off underneath deck will greatly improve air-grass flow
Thank you for your good advice.
Probably should scrape your deck while you have the blades up homie.
Thank you for your comment.
Homie. 😎
