  • Saanen 1978 - Public Discussion 4 - Constant effort damages the brain
    Summary:
How can one keep a brain that is constantly renewing itself?
What takes place when there is contradiction?
Our present social structure is based essentially on competition, reaching, struggling.
We carry hurt and never end it.
The mechanical way of living is one of the factors of deterioration.
What is the source of energy which is now being used for thinking?
Do we see the fact that thought is mechanical?

This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

Any movement of thought deteriorates the brain! So the only possible way is to observe, recording nothing, whatsoever. I test it to live Love without motive in my daily life. Thank you for this marvelous teaching of Krishnaji 🤩❤️🙏🏽

@31:56 - Our way of killing become much more efficient, much more complicated. You can DESTROY HUMAN BEINGS by million and KEEP THE BUILDINGS INTACT. Is that the result of our excellent brain?
One of many profound insights of JK which we can clearly relate in present time.

That women who counter argued that those people who laughed at her question are “incredible fools” was so sure of herself. That confidence in public that too decades ago.. i think with time we've become more and more trapped in social conventions to lose much of the confidence we used to have as a society. But i haven't been in the past, so maybe i shouldn't conclude on the basis of one glimpse.

How impatient these guys are! Listen, think, go home and experiment, testify, falsify and again testify, falsify. One wouldn't need to ask for answers they'd find out their own, and as we've collective brains one might be able to pass on anything that is new.

    what ifs aren't reality...
or does one manifest reality through the benediction of the otherness ! what is this transformation that even a yogee wouldn't fathom to perceive until there is death of the psyche that conditioned since before birth and our dna is observed by the eyes of the beholder who is always searching for the connection between micro and the macro ,themselves being whole if only there is no 'I' to conclude how meditation begins perhaps which is the ending of it
