Thanks for the compliment! Honestly, I've been posting videos for a short time (a few months), I don't know if the views are few, or rather, I don't know what to expect :-)
HI! The vaseline oil on my PC worked very well, it brought the plastic back to a nice shiny black. Very little is needed and once spread on the surface it can be removed with a cloth. It must be reapplied, it is not a definitive procedure, but at least it is non-toxic and harmless (considering that we put our hands on it) and can be done in two minutes. Thanks for the comment!
Just a hint, next time when you do those flashing scenes. Tell it somewhere that epileptic people can avoid that video. But other than that, good video and i have to do it myself too. Thanks! :)
Good evening Sidizzzz, sorry if I'm still writing about this topic after a month to you. I learned to use the TH-cam Studio Editor and I eliminated any flashing scenes from this video and the others I produced. I hope this video is now safe although I still use a quick clip update (I hope it doesn't cause problems). Thanks again for the advice
Wow, impressive results. Those sticker marks annoy the hell out of me, and always wondered whether there was an easy way to remove them. Unfortunately I have to say this is way too much work for me, so I will just live with them. I really should have removed those stickers when I got the machine, I think my problrm is now that the plastic has a different level of wornness where the stickers used to be.
Hi! The work I did is just a test, I will try to improve the procedure but the problem is that the supports are always different: shiny, opaque, with textured surfaces, worn plastic, oxidized paint, plastic and paint color change due to light over the years (which remains new under the adhesive), etc. I don't think there is a single way to solve the problem, my little knowledge of painting and sanding helped me but the stains are still slightly visible (this is why I camouflaged it with the striped pattern). I'll cover the entire top part when I decide to unscrew the entire laptop and I also have another computer to deal with, let's see what happens!

For myself, i think it turned out good 👍
Thank you! This was an experiment. I'll do better next time with a new pattern. At least I hope so 😀
Really well edited and well done surprised there arent more views :)

Very good, I'll try to do it, the part about lubricating the surface with vaseline oil is a good idea, since the plastic seems to be a little dry.

Hi. I hadn't thought about this ☹️. Can you tell me which minute you're referring to so I can at least put a subtitle just before it
@@OrdinaryLife-ABCfor an example this scene where you rub the palm rest, starts at 1.55min
I put a subtitle there. I'll take this into account for future videos, thanks for the heads up!

@@OrdinaryLife-ABC Looks good now :) I'm going to try that oil to make my thinkpad shiny again.
Nice!
Thank you. This was a first attempt, next time I will do better 😀
Dope!
Thank you so much!
