I laughed when you removed the screws xD Nice upgrade tho, I love these. Once I even bought an old laptop just to upgrade it and sell further with loss.
I know. Having a box of ssds I decided to use the optical drive space to expand the memory there. Sooner or later I will also put an msata ssd. Maybe I can use it as a backup space for some system files, or directly keep the system image there for possible recoveries
I currently use two Linux distributions, and W10 (not much, actually). Each in its own SSD. Luckily in the T430 changing SSD is so fast that I don't need other methods or internal partitioning. Often I don't even close the disk access door, I leave it "nature". Naked 😀
Ciao.
@@otto5423 yes, it is a truly horrible monitor. I want to replace it but I haven't yet studied the procedure for changing it. I'll get my hands on it when I figure out what to do
I'm going to be upgrading my own T430 soon to the gills, your sand job on the heatsink inspires me to do the same.
Hi! The important thing is to keep the surface perfectly flat.
Bro. The heat pipe polishing was something else. 🤯
@@stoic521 Hi, what do you mean?

I like it too. I got my hands on all the family's PCs and laptops. I started making videos too late 🤣
Nice polishing job. It would be nice to have before/after temperatures for comparison.
I didn't think about doing the comparison, it's too late now 😔
@@OrdinaryLife-ABC Yeah, very good job nevertheless.

Thank you! 🙂
magnificent and meticulous build... your have my sub!
@@TechDave Thanks!
Under the ram cover is an empty place for 3g. Put an msata ssd there..

I built win7 + win10/11 dualboot süstema for car diagnostics some months ago from x230/t430 thinkpads.
