You cant file an anonymous complaint? Or if it happened a lot, which you claim, you should be able to relay vivid information to the police. If no women come forward, how is the circle of assault supposed to stop? Invalidated claims diminish legitimate claims, and forces people not to trust accusers. Additionally, I have never heard a psychologist say that it is advantageous to hold sexual assault in, and let it run your life. Claims lose validity over time.

It's amazing how far victimizing the abuser can go. I have a friend who was sexually abused by someone who she was dating when she was 16. She was ashamed because he made her believe because she was dating her she wasn't actually raped (even if she didn't want, it, yelled at him and even fought him) .He kept her isolated from friends and family so she had no one to talk about the abuse. When she finally realized she could take back control and leave him, he punished her by breaking her nose, kicking her so hard in the guts she through up and she had to be hospitalized.
this boy (19 at the time) convinced her mother that she in fact attacked him and he was merely defending himself. That she made up these story's about him so she would not be blamed for leaving him. Ironically the only person who believed her was his father who had been watching his son be abusive to her on many situations.
After she got home the boy wanted to come over and "talk things out". The mother let him in.
She was horrified, locked herself in her room until he was gone and got scolded for being rude. When she tried to admit what he'd done to her prior to her being hospitalized, her mother wasn't having it. She must have been lying.
After he came by a few more times and she managed to avoid him again, she at some point got out of the house and managed to go to his house and talk to his dad who didn't know he'd been visiting her and her mother.
He came home while she was there and lounged an attack at her. The father stood up to him and attacked him. He beat his own son to a bloody mess.
After this that boy left her alone.
She never went to the police... Her own mother was there when everything was going on and didn't believe her. Why would the police be convinced other way's?
The father of this boy was the only one who believed her, but also had aggression problems and honestly she didn't know if after all that she should get police involved... The'd probably not understand.
People wonder why victims don't come forward. Victims come forward when they feel supported and sure of themselves. (The #metoo movement sure made a loot of men and women come out of the woodworks)
But when they are unsure, broken down by someone, and become isolated... They won't. People who do this don't pick victems they can't overpower. They don't pick the stronger person who has it all figured out. They don't pick someone who will see through their manipulations. They pick a usually younger victim who they believe they can mold, break down or pressure in to things.
This is how they get away with it.

Jon Stewart should be ashamed of Trevor Noah... Stewart would not have blindly believed Ford based purely on the virtue of the fact that she's a woman and belongs to an "oppressed" identity. Noah just admitted that a man is not entitled to victimhood... Do you realize what that means? It means we believe women and distrust men based purely on their biological sex identities. Imagine if I said I believed Kavanaugh because he's white. I'd be socially executed and rightly so. What Trevor is doing is no different.

raharu000 I don’t think you really listened to this clip because that’s not what he said. He’s saying that Trump is playing into men’s fears to get their support. Men who have not committed sexual assault or harassment should NOT be fearful of being accused because #1 false accusations are rare #2 women have been conditioned to just take it by our culture #3 if you didn’t do anything ever, why would someone make something up?
You can’t even comprehend how women’s lives are shaped by these incidents or even how women’s lives are shaped to prevent these types of incidents. You want to talk about fear gentlemen?? Try having the fear of walking in the dark outside. Driving alone and being followed... Never leaving a drink unattended. Having to pay $$$ for a really, really safe neighborhood because you have to walk your dog at night. Getting unwanted advances over and over and over again from the same person... so many more. So you’re scared?? Try and live a life where you worry about safety every single night. If you’ve never acted poorly, chances are you will never be accused because the odds are so low anyway. So quit being a bunch of pussies, nothing has changed for you unless you are a male chauvinist pig.

My most obvious demonstration of the kind of aggrieved white guy victimhood I've ever seen was when my dad was convicted of possession of child pornography. He lost his house, his marriage, his family, his career, and all his money. Time to reevaluate your life? Nope! The Feds railroaded him and his lawyer was incompetent and everything was totally unfair and he was the real victim. It was even my mom's fault for getting cancer and needing a double mastectomy that drove my disgusted (but totally innocent!) father into the arms of child porn.
It taught me a very important lesson about how these kind of men see the world: nothing is good enough for them, they're responsible for nothing, and they are always entitled to more. And if they don't get what they're entitled to, they're victims. Angry, loud, belligerent victims.
Doesn't matter if it's rape or assault or pedophilia or child porn. They're the victims, and they will MAKE you understand that whether you want them to or not.

You obviously don't have any clue as to what will happen once you remove the richest, most powerful nation in the history of the human civilization from the equation.
Power vacuum would be a mild statement. When America falls.... The world will die in thermonuclear fire.
The only way to prevent that is to spread out the death of that nation over several decades, possibly a few centuries if you can manage it, to distribute power over time. Last time this happened and the British empire faltered, the world had to go thru 2 world wars to set itself straight.

I just want to say from the bottom of my heart how much love and respect I have for you Trevor. You are a strength to many during a rough time. Often times the Daily show is overlooked because although it is a "news show" it's also a comedy so people will downplay it's importance. I just hope that you and TDS team know how much it means to us that you continue to do what the show has been doing for a long time now. I remember on 9/11 that the news show that affected me the most was Jon Stewart opening the show with tears and hope. I turned to this show to help cope with a life-changing experience that we all were going through, and now you are continuing that by showing us hope and laughter through a really tough time for many women and men. I doubt that you will ever read this comment but I hope you know how much strength people get from your ability to handle stress with a smile which makes it easier for us to continue on.

They've been convinced by Globalists and Hollywood elites that they're victims. Trevor is blaming the enemy of the same thing which he does. Hahahaha. Classic tactics
The Dems used Blasey Ford to attack a nominee after 35 years of the alleged incident. That is the literal definition of weaponising victimhood.

I honestly believe that it takes someone from outside of our country to look at us and reflect back with a clear vision. Being from Africa he has not only empathy but the experience for what so much of the world is like outside of the western bubble.
I climbed into the car to take my kids to school today just as the Senate started the vote to proceed to a final nomination. My 9-year-old daughter asked me why I turned the radio off. How can I explain to her the world that she's about to walk into? I couldn't even talk about it.
I was just about to graduate from high school when Anita Hill was subjected to the humiliation that Dr. Ford just experienced. I thought back then that such a painful national event might help us move forward. Here we are 25 years later and now I'm explaining to my kid how politics and men in power are actively working against her in the most insidious ways - and also how our system works against so many people in this country.
I can't understand how so much of our nation can be so void of common empathy. Donald Trump has pulled back the curtains on our society and it's fucking scary.

I understand why you feel minorities and women need to get over and get past it. But, may I ask you a few questions?
      1. Why is the incarceration higher for black men and Latino men when they, statistically, commit less numbers of crimes? White men outnumber black and Latino men by nearly five to one. Does this mean that white are just simply more virtuous, therefore superior? Mathematically it just doesn't work out. Check out FBI site to see what I mean.
      2. Yes, black and Latinos may be better off financially now than previously, but we are still demonized in popular culture. And even though affirmative action is still in place, it has been proved, over and over again, that if two candidates with the same job resume, schooling, intelligence, etc. are up for the same job position, the white candidate will be chosen first. If you want me to provide links, I will be happy to do so.
This is just two questions. I can ask several more. Trump may be giving us a break financially but he is KILLING us culturally. And believe it or not, that is very important

Im not a right or leftist, I have never voted for either side, i stay neutral but damn if these people are down playing rape just to feed their agenda and claim they are right or their side "won" soo sad that our country is soo divided over stupid shit like this, its plain and simple that rape is wrong but because it conflicts with their political interest its nothing but a farse and bs from the opposite side... wake up. We only want the better for our country, regardless of what side we are on, allegations of this nature need to be heard and seen with reason... fuck this shit just tires me soo much, I hate this divide...

Lying to the Senate really is proof enough. He wasn't vetted properly. He was picked because he believes a sitting president shouldn't be investigated

    • @MrJJacks7
      @MrJJacks7 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The tools in the senate did do an FBI investigation and people are still not happy because it was too short. What more do you really think they would find out about an incident made over 3 decades ago? All of this is an excuse because the Republicans just want to vote him in before they get crushed in the November elections and the Democrats are using the FBI investigations as a stalling tactic. Neither of them care about finding the truth. If the Democrats did they wouldn't have held on to the accusation letter until the very the last second to delay the vote. They could have handed it to the FBI immediately and had a much more thorough investigation instead of leaking the letter at the last minute.
My issue with this whole process is they are using the moral outrage of the metoo movement to attack political enemies in a way that is similar to the McCarthy era of the 1950's which not only causes chaos with "guilt by accusation" thinking but it also becomes ammo for people to discredit the metoo movement

    • @beyusnow1693
      @beyusnow1693 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

I agree with you on this. The problem is there are those people who are falsely accused, who are completely innocent but still will have their lives destroyed. Unfortunately there are those who have been assaulted but are treated like villains and they too will have their lives destroyed. If there were a group of non-partisan people who could conduct a full investigation without interference, we wouldn't have such a huge problem with this. I don't know why I need to say this but, they also must have unquestionably integrity. For me, that honesty is a must-have.
