A witness stating that somebody was not there is not really any sort of evidence....a witness confirming that he was somewhere else is. You know that you can overlook people...also it wasn't everyone and given the context of the party these people were drunk so any observation made (or rather the lack of one) can be doubted.

Every time I've had a job, there has always been such an emphasis on sexual harassment and that it is not okay. Even in a low-level cashier job back in my uni days, the slightest infraction resulted in an immediate suspension and investigation. One guy who made inappropriate comments to another female co-worker was fired. This is over INAPPROPRIATE COMMENTS for a GROCERY CASHIER position. I don't understand how the workforce can keep preaching about how sexual harassment is not okay, and yet when an accusation on a man like Kavanaugh, an accusation more damning than inappropriate comments, for a position infinitely more consequential than a cashier, they want to just brush it all aside and plow through the confirmation hearing like it's all just wishy washy rumours. If inappropriate comments in a freaking grocery can be investigated, I don't see why inappropriate behaviour can't be. Just because he's high profile and had an influential network of people backing him? That shouldn't be a safety net. The rules should apply to everybody, no exception. The integrity of the Supreme Court as the highest court of this land demands some dignity and decorum.

No most guys do not go through the sexual assault faze and even if it was a "normal" thing to do that wouldn't make it right. And whether you like it or not sexual assault is a CRIME and I don't want a person on the Supreme Court who would show such disregard not only for the law they are supposed to be keeping but also for the citizens who they are supposed to be protecting. I'm not saying he's done it I'm saying that EVERYONE should want to know the truth no matter your political position. And he's not just accused of one incident when he was 17 he's been accused of 3 different incidents and if those are true then that may be a pattern of behavior and thought that he could still have, which is not acceptable for a decent human being let alone some one on the Supreme Court. And by the way rape and sexual assault is not this once in awhile crime that rarely happens one in five women will be sexually assaulted and that's just the statistics of those that are reported, this SHOULD be something you care about if you know any women in your life that you love or even if your just a decent person.

I was in high school long ago and never assaulted a woman, or ever went past any clear signal that she was not interested in having any kind of physical contact with me. I did see and hear about guys who did, and they always used alcohol as their excuse. Alcohol is not an excuse, it is a way of giving yourself one. I would imagine that Kavanaugh was generally careful and respectful when he wasn't bombed with his friend Mark Judge, but they facilitated their bad behavior with excessive drinking. There are enough questions surrounding him that he should not be considered for such an important position.

Also: he strikes me as quite the narcissist. In his testimony he didn't even really respond to the accusations made against him. He just bragged about his credentials, was cocky and entitled. A narcissist is usually really good at making people fall for them. They can manipulate in a way other human beings aren't able to. It makes perfect sense that there would be a lot of people who think he's such a sweet person, because narcissists pick their victims strategically. They never just randomly hurt everybody.

Ford said she wouldnt testify then said she would without him in the room (which is completely unconstitutional) and is now saying he needs to testify before she does. The democrats had these accusations 7 weeks ago but brought it up the week he was going to get nominated. All those facts point to she lying if you are a logical person. Its very obvious to most people they brought this up to use as a tool to not get him on the supreme court because then it would be a majority of republicans.

In the meantime democratic senators are ignoring the allegations of a women against Keith Ellison. Keith is second in command within the DNC. Aswell as running for Minnesota's attorney general. She has medical records, photos, calls, text messages to support her claim. Yet the DNC does not see any truth to her allegations. Until some substantial evidence is shown, the case is weak and honestly, this isn’t about seeking justice so much as it is to cause a delay and if the FBI gets involved, they’re going to keep the investigation open for as LONG as it takes until the Democrats can set a democrat judge in place.

MANY people. For instance, my mother keeps old calendars because she made them. The pictures for every month are family photos of the previous year. I, on the other hand, keep my old day planners.

So she feared he'd become a supreme court justice as a rapist which would be a horrific outcome for the country! Hell, I was assaulted as a 13 year old. I didn't speak up, cause guess what, I was THIRTEEN. If I heard today that my rapist would be nominated for the supreme court tomorrow, I'd bring it up tonight.

Someone against whom are *credible* if not certain allegations of serial sexual harassment and assault. Someone who has acted as a hyper-partisan legal hatchet man, who changes his legal opinions to match his political program. Meanwhile, he is advanced to the court only because Republicans had abandoned their duty to hold hearings on Garland, even though Garland had bipartisan support as an excellent judge. Support for this guy and this process is firmly predicated on letting politics dictate your thinking.

Both my half-brother and father warned me because it almost happened to them too, but I never thought it would happen to me because I am so careful, but being careful will not save you. A lot of people bring up the Salem Witch trials, but they forget as recently as the 80s there was the Satanic ritual abuse scare. Multiple people were falsely accused of killing babies, rape, and worshiping the devil and it was proven that the accusers made it all up and regression therapy was proven to create false memories.

Your last sentence nullifies your previous point. In a court of law, Ford has no legal case against Kavanaugh, she hasn't even provided a legitimate legal accusation. The reason the law is on Kavanuagh's side is because improper accusations are legally empty words, especially in a "case" that is 30+ years. Proper evidence (which i dont think Ford will ever be able to provide) has to be supplied by the accuser. The defendant does not need to provide evidence of innocence, otherwise law keepers could usher in ABSOLUTE anarchy.

To everybody trying to defend Kavanaugh based on his "excellent reputation" let me bring up a relevant point. Bill Cosby once had a reputation as "America's Dad" and was sentenced yesterday to prison for sexual assault. Having a good reputation does not mean you've never done anything awful. It just means you've never been caught doing anything awful. This could be the "getting caught" moment for Kavanaugh. Or maybe not, maybe he didn't do it and Professor Blasey is mistaken. To find out we need to investigate it, but congressional republicans are trying to prevent an investigation from happening and want to confirm Kavanaugh before one can even be started, much less finished.
