    Worth the wait, fantastic progress. Now the difficult bit starts, sorting & sourcing trim etc & rejuvenating 40 year old ARG technology. Good luck, looking forward to the next instalment

      I know mate, will be a slow process as you know. Thats one thing ive learnt from the maestro, is not to expect this phase to move with any pace!

    The door panel fit looks considerably better than stock. Whole bodyshell looks beautiful.

      Thanks mate, i spent 2 hrs each side when it came back getting those doors as best i could, took quite a bit of shimming.

    That Vitesse looks absolutely Stunning. With regards the rear wheel arches. Don't be super critical. They look as standard as standard can be. A credit to your excellent workmanship. Well done you. As for the sills. Colour match to the body colour is the way to go. I had an A reg VDP V8 back in the day. Silver in colour. Black sills looked shyte so I painted them body colour and it transformed the cars appearance. What you did is bang on. 👌👍👏

    You def need to get it lowered a touch. I had one in the 90s and I put a set of spax adjustables on it with lowered springs.
    Stance is a game changer on the SD1..

    The car looks stunning already so will be even better once the various trims and lights etc are all sorted too. Every time I watch one of your videos I start to get ideas about finding an SD1 Vitesse for restoration, but I have too many other projects on the go already!
    Looking forward to the next update. Thanks for sharing! 👍

      @@RetroRatchet Looking forward to hearing all about your new project. Unfortunately I deleted my FB account about 12 years ago and deleted my Twitter account last week so I guess I’ll just have to rely on pistonheads and autotrader for leads.
      Damn, you got me thinking about it for real! Stop it! 😂

      @@RetroRatchet I do think, though, that the Series 1 recessed headlamps look way meaner than the later flush mounts. The problem is if a person recessed their Vitesse headlamps, onlookers probably wouldnt believe it was a genuine article ..😮

    Great video. How have the electrics been? Dad always went with Granadas as his colleague's SD's were in the garage from new with a lot of these problems. I think the company took the SD's off the list of choices due to issues with them. But wow, sounds fantastic with 4 door 365 GTB/4 looks.

    • @RetroRatchet
      @RetroRatchet  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, yeah ive had some elec issues, but so far most are just due to it sitting for so long. Ive still central locking and wiper to look at again!
