I had one of the last ones, it red and black paint work red turbo across the bottom and a black and blue interior with turbo embroidery. Traided it in for a brand new Bluebird ZX Ex

I remember the hot fiat abarth strada (Ritmo) doing well in magazine tests, think it was called something like the TC ?

Looks fun but the deprecation is even faster. 24 grand for a few thousand miler now and easily available for 29k new. That’s one hell of a kick in the wallet if you payed the full 37k last year. I might get one when they get to 18 grand in a year or so as a city car.

My dad had a c-plate S12 Silvia Turbo in white back in the day, I thought it went like a spaceship….. Fun Fact: Max Power’s quote on the CherryTurbo back in the day: “Japanese Dog Poo” Cool video 👍

Wow !, that came out stunning !. I had a 2.4 A6 estate for a couple of years and it was a rapid car with a bulletproof engine and I loved it, I’d still have it now if some moron didn’t write it off by driving into me on a dual carriageway. Hope you keep this, it’s sweet.

Silvia was a beast of a car can remember swapping a BMW M3 E30 for a Golf GTI and a Silvia turbo, the Silvia was definitely the most fun to drive out the two especially in the wet..

My pal Phil Jinder Dewhurst reckons that blue Volvo is possibly one of two his neighbours had in the 80s as the reg were both OPR and they were the same colour.

Came up amazing 👌 cant beat cleaning up a well used daily driver and seeing it come back to its best.... 😁

Renault fuego turbos are extremely rare. The cherry I've never seen on the road in recent years

I had a C reg Silvia 2l dohc 16 valve, it was very rare even then. Loved that car..

160mph speedo on the UNO a bit optimistic lol its only a 1.4 turbo i think so even tuned 140mph is around the max that would do

Had an S12 Silvia. Loved it. Mods included: Exhaust, hybrid turbo, Maestro intercooler, induction kit, 1.2 bar boost, Rover 220 turbo spoiler, colour coded trim, lowered slightly. 210bhp for stints, but would eat pistons if run at high boost for too long. Sadly rotted around the hatch hinges, then I welded these up and sold it for a 220 GSi turbo. Still miss the Silvia, too much to buy one now 😢

Great collection there tho am a jap person love the cherry turbo you just don't see them anymore and that Silvia is good has had some work but still good , I have 3 of them

What? The Uno is more understated than the Cherry? No way, the Cherry looks very bland for a sporty model imo. The Uno is the best looking out of the three.

What is wrong with 15" wheels on the Volvo. At least the tyres won't blow if you curb them.

Cherry Shared a body shell with Alfa Romeo ARNA. Hence AR NA initials of both companies.

I had the MK2 Uno Turbo in red just like yours. Great car. I remember hitting 135 before the front-end was getting ready to lift off... From memory, it did have the black roof spoiler fitted. Loved that car :) Lovely Nissan's too.

Nissan Silvia......one of my first true loves. I can t explain it, i just love the Silvia.

I had a m1 uno turbo, so much better in every way!

The main difference underneath is this has a torque tube connecting the engine to the rear mounted gearbox, the 340s had a propshaft and the cvt 2 belts.

Worked in a volvo dealer as a tech in the late 80s early 90s just as the 440 was out but people still bought these. The 360glt was quite a nice drive. I liked the 740 turbos and the 480 which was such a departure for them at the time. Those b200 and b230 engines do 500k easy.

2 door 309 gtis had similar rear window systems to the cherry. Some seriously rare metal here. The collector likes red, and i see a bluebird turbo in the back.

I had two s12s in my time. A black one and a gunmetal one. Loved them. That looks like a scorpion system on it and it has a bung in place of the pressure relief valve on the inlet manifold , so probably has a restrictor bead in the wastegate hose to up the boost to about 10psi so I'd guess this is running about 170ish. That Cherry is lush too .

I have one like yours from 1995, I also got from the Facebook marketplace, except mine is red, GLE, and different rims. Same condition as yours.

Great to see someone else giving these cars some attention. I worked my apprenticeship, (mechanic), in a car hire company, in the mid to late 80’s, we had a whole bunch of Nissans on the fleet, including a couple of Cherry turbo’s, Silvia turbo’s and Bluebird ZX turbo’s. They were fantastic cars and always great fun to drive. Shame they were not as popular or well known as the alternatives at the time but, that, to me makes them much more desirable. Always wanted a Silvia turbo, very rarely seen any for sale, these 2 Nissans must have been a lot of work to find in this condition.
