Turns out the ethernet cable didn't work, but thankfully I managed to connect my 360 to my mobile hotspot. Didn't even know I could do that until today

@JoeRetroWorld I'll try the wireless option you did first before buying LAN. I think what I did was what most people did, have xbox Auto, find it, and then put password in. And since modern routers have 4g and 5g, it can't think which to use. Call your provider and see they are send a 5g signal only. If so, then you will need a different router with a Older compatible signal. Some cell phones can create a Hotspot that is compatible with the xbox360.
You can call your cable provider and see if they have a different wifi router that is compatible. I know for a fact that the wifi Hotspot on your phone will work. I hope you can get it working.

If you have a updated wifi router then most likely the xbox360 is not compatible with that signal. You can use your cell phone Hotspot at 2.4ghz to connect your xbox360 with a simple search of the phones Hotspot name.

Sorry, since this video, the signal has changed. Hard wire or a new router that outputs a signal compatible with your xbox360. I use my phone Hotspot for connection now.

For me it doesnt even show the available networks or advanced settings. I can only choose between wireless and wired networks
You might have the old firmware. Try turning on the Hotspot of your cellphone and connecting to that.

On my cell phone I can change the wifi signal from 5g to 2.5 hrtz. Check if you can do this?

I did a updated video, some times you have to switch the security settings. Try your phone Hotspot, it allows for no password.

You need to call your cable provider and ask if they can setup a separate signal with the same router or if they can provide one free or low cost.

what does it mean when it says testing connection is gonna sign everyone out, is it going to sign every device out of the wifi network?
That's normal, it will sign them back in after testing. You don't have to worry about the other users not being signed in when switching users later.
It signs all other users you may have, so that the current user is the only one testing they internet settings and account.

Did your router change firmware to maybe only 5g network? After you do the test, back out and see if netflix works or simular app.

It didn't work for me (The only way it works for me is if I have a Ethernet cable or wifi cable for it)
The wifi signal is not compatible with the xbox360 adapter. A special 2.4ghz router will work wireless.

No, no special adapters. The xbox360 has a wifi antenna you have to buy.

I just connected my ps3 the regular way to my wifi. If yours does not want to, then yes try this method to see if it will connect to wifi.

Ok, it will show failed. After performing this, just back out. Go and try Netflix or another app to see if you are, in fact, connected.

What if your network is wpa3?

Sorry, since this video, the signal has changed. Hard wire or a new router that outputs a signal compatible with your xbox360. I use my phone Hotspot for connection now.

@@gearskingz1398 ok, my phone has 2 settings for wifi Hotspot. 5g and 2.4ghz for transmitting signal
You can still hook it up directly with a wire.

You can try your phone Hotspot or call your cable provider and ask if they can send you a wifi router that is compatible with the xbox360.
