This song is brilliant and why Paul refused this for the album is shameful, and I would have loved if Mansun put out a song with Chad singing and Paul doing the vocals. This song is stunning and would have made the top 10 without a doubt. This and Comes As No Surprise are my favourite songs from the album and all the b-sides.
This song springs to me a kaleidoscope of views whereabout: jesus saves,there´s a old 70´s lover´s painting, travelling around the world searching for answers to every questions...whatever it takes to found it real inside, these vocals and guitar symmetry sounds perfect :)
Yes, the guitarist put out a statement sometime early in 2023 about how he basically had nothing to do with Mansun releases after late 2006. He also stated that he basically doesn't want to have any contact with the lead singer at all. He doesn't want him to contact him at his work place, or to contact his family or friends. I think some stuff went down that Dominic wasn't happy with, maybe he felt that Paul destroyed their chances of becoming huge and that eight years of touring went to waste because of his stubborn ways. He most likely lost out on a lot of money and had to start a new career in the health service. His statement is up on his fb channel for all to see. Dom Chad is what he goes by.
@@marmadukesandwich How do you know Paul and Stove stole all the money? I heard the rumour that Stove was stealing from the band. Surely if that were true the rest of the band would have taken him to court? I read the statement on Dom Chads fb page and his anger is aimed at Paul not Stove. And he basically sums his fellings for Paul by saying that he doesn't want Paul to contact him at his workplace or any of his family and firends for that matter. When there's a huge rift like this, it's usually over money and I think Chad was angry with Paul for putting out Six which was comerical suicide. I think for me, Paul was showing off as he basked in the "look at what I can do light." Dominic knew that if a proper 2nd album was produced they could have become a sell out stadium band like Oasis and Blur did. A lot of hard work went into those eight years and it most likely could have been all for nothing. Dominic had to start a new career, it must have been very frustrating. He had the chance for a mansun reunion I'm sure, but I think that his thinking would have been that Paul would have demanded too high a percentage of the money made from the reunion... plus whatever music and merch that they might have sold. If you look at Pauls solo stuff, he's milking his fans right now for every penny they have. He got drunk on stage and destroyed a whole show. He was abusive to a lady band member live for all to see. And the fans that came to see his drunken madness were not reimbursed for their losses as far as I know. His 2nd album sounded like it wasn't even finished. There were songs on that album that weren't even worthy of being b - sides for me. That's what I got, as I thought some of the songs didn't sound finished at all. None of the other band members have seemed to have played with Paul since the break up. I think its because it could be down to Pauls behavior. Of course, I could be wrong, I'm only going off of what I've heard from Paul and Chad so one of them must be lying but who is it?

Having previously been Facebook friends with his personal account, I certainly know he has his problems and I can easily imagine the real reason the band split
Mansun are the best. Still listen to their music today. Timeless classics, miss them so much. Paul Draper is a genius!
This might be my favorite of their (extensive) B-Sides. Always wished we got a solo album from Chad.
I still pray for a reunion and Chad could always sing well. His backing vocals on Television live were excellent.
