That was a beautiful performance. Why are these commentators saying anything negative at all? And why would they be putting their head on the chopping block? Ridiculous comment...
@8LEAJ8 There are several cameras for different angles and shots. Maybe they want to point out how close and precise M&D boots and blades are when they make those turns which make it more difficult. The Technical Specialist usually watch those close-up shots of the blades so as to determine what grade level the dancers get then submit it to the judges who then awards the points according to the level the dancers got.
Technically and artistically perfect!! They floated across the ice. Why are these commentators putting them down in a round-about way? Shame on Eurosport...What did he mean "the joy wasn't there"? What the hell do they want?
I am a roller dance judge. When it comes to tighter footwork and smoothness, I place this team above Virtue and Moir - but both are amazing teams! Davis' and White's interpretation could have been more carefree, which may have given them the needed points to win. Still, they were more elegant that Virtue and Moir. Maybe sacrificing elegance for abandonment was needed. Combining the two is even better.
Jodi J Why do they say "the joy wasn't there". Everytime I rewatch these videos, it aggravates me that they basically give Meryl and Charlie a back-sided compliment.
Because Nicky's head is stuck so far up V/M's backside it's ridiculous. Why is he even talking about the Olympics or V/M here? It's NOT about them. I think this is a wonderful CD.
Jodi J I wasn't going to thumb up this comment, but listening to him again - I really have to say you were right. He should be embarrassed to listen to his past commentaries.
Appearance is everything. Charlie should get rid of that 70's hair style and he would look more elegant in his costume. His appearance takes away from their skating.
Very elegant and classy...Meryl and Charlie only got better and better each year. They are amazing!!!
So light and easy on the eye! I miss these two and Golden Waltz.
very very CLASSEY, WOW!!!
i could watch these two all day im ganna buy tickets brilliant
sheer perfection, no other comment needs to be made
Fabulous and beautiful Put a penny in it all you knockers
Brilliant...
Lindíssimo ! Parabéns
😍😍
Muitas 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 . . .
They're so stable and elegant! This CD is just beautiful to look at.
Thank you for uploading this one :) really appreciate it!
Lindo lindo demais !! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Davis & White were robbed at the 2012 Worlds. This is crisp, light, airy and amazing.

Que lindo !!! 👏👏👏👏
Me gusta mucho el patinaje artistico me relaja mucho ... saludos ....
Just lovely! Wish they could have gotten gold but the Canadians are also beautiful. Tough tough judging call!!

Watch some other couples doing the same CD (e.g. nagano olimpic), and you will understand what they meant (imho)
Lindos!
Can't believe they only got second place. I liked their waltz better than Virtue/Moir.

The camera man should have been fired!
I agree.
I agree
I love watching ice dancing. Too bad I didn’t get to see much in this video. Camera shots are awful.
I didn't much like the camera work on this. Hard to watch.
I think they wanted to show the foot work more than anything else. Definitely should have moved the camera around better.
@@starsmoon0216 I found their faces (close ups) to be more distracting (and totally irrelevant) that foot work.
"Bitter pill"? D/W said that they felt it was the right medal for them at the time.

Also a roller dance judge here, and I totally concur!
What do you mean by swallow a bitter pill ?????
Oh, dear. Lacking chemistry and joy? 4:08
I have to disagree, :)
The apex of the Golden Waltz? Perhaps...no?
Ugh. The camera work is terrible! Can’t enjoy this properly. Lol
Appearance is everything. Charlie should get rid of that 70's hair style and he would look more elegant in his costume. His appearance takes away from their skating.
I don't think that his hair style is the problem. It suits him.
Great skaters, supposedly great performance, really can’t tell due to the horrible videography!
He lacks the elegance of Scott Moir and they don't seem to be as one like they were!
Charlie White is every bit as good as Scott Moir and a little better in my opinion. Each one has their own strength.
lol Scott Moir is so awkward. What elegance are you talking about? Scott could never dance the range Charlie can.
Terrible camera work.
