Excellent presentation. Modelica and OM are so cool ! I love that you point out the difference between Simulink and OM. So many people view Simulink as the go to tool these days and don't understand.
when I try open a .mo file the message "Scripting Notification Automatically loaded package ModelicaServices 4.0.0 due to uses annotation from Modelica." appears but nothing is visualized. Not an editor or a plot....nothing. How do I fix this?

I need to buy a new laptop and I will be running OpenModelica on it. Can someone please advise what the laptop configuration should be to make sure Modelica runs smoothly? Thank you!
If you are going to run large models on the laptop, you need a lot of RAM (especially if running Chrome on the same laptop). 32 GB feels like it is too little at times; 64 GB RAM on laptops is still not common though. For most tasks, it is single-core performance that is needed, which means most CPUs work well (you won't be getting budget CPUs paired with large RAM anyway).
First of all thank you for openmodelica. When installed openmodelica, computer says that it contains dangerous software. Could you explain ? Best Regards.
OpenModelica contains a full msys/mingw32/mingw64 environment on Windows including compilers and everything needed to compile code. OpenModelica will generate C-code and compile+execute the generated binary code. This frequently generates false positives in antivirus software, even on the developers' own computers and servers.
skip to 0:40:00 to see the actual tutorial content. And yes, the speaker seems utterly bored.

Skip this and read the documentation yourself. The sound quality is awful.
The speaker seems rather bored in explaining. No enthusiasm at all.
