The price of knives these days makes me wanna hurl. I just went and spent 2300 bucks on some ZT’s and some WE knives. I still didn’t feel like I got a good deal on anything I bought, I was feeling pretty bummed out about the few knives I bought. I saw a video of someone reviewing a Petrified Fish “Victor” and I thought it looked to be a great knife especially for 46 bucks, so I bought one and I’m hooked on this CHEAP KNIFE! It’s a killer knife with K110 German steel. I haven’t felt the need to even pocket any of my expensive knives, I’ve been staring to see lots of cheap well made knives and I think I’m done purchasing expensive knives. Great video my brother. Brother, I swear by PF's Havrog. I've had it for over a year and have carried it almost daily on construction sites. Petrified Fish doesn't get a lot of publicity lately because they aren't dropping many new knives. Their line up is solid
Ned foss makes decent blades. When i was a kid d2 was like the gold standard. While i may prefer other steels, d2 has still done me well and is one my oldest knives
I got one of these after seeing your short along with a handful of other Chinese blades off Amazon. This is the only one I didn’t return. The fit and finish are insane for 60 bucks
I personally avoid d2 for the exact reasons you mentioned, I tend to avoid Chinese knives too, though I do have a few. That’s probably more political than knife related. This knife seems pretty good if I’m honest with myself.
Yeah, its a Kabar clone. Blade on the Kabar is 7 inches, but the cutting edge is 6.75 inches. Yeah, went and got mine from my bedroom. :) Even that that one has a slightly shorter blade, and a different handle. It still reminds me of my Kabar.
Not topic related do you find yourself over grinding some knives tbh I can get my knives sharp like your's since I got the harbor freight I kinda over ground 2 kitchen knives to get he back chips out kinda wonna get into different steel's so far the steel's I know Aus8a, Aus10a, S35vn and cpm3v never owned a d2 before

I agree. I replaced my ZT edc for a budget Vosteed mink. And I will never look back
