ive been watching your videos since my IGCSE’S and youve been so incredibly helpful to my study routine, I cant thank you enough! I follow the Cambridge syllabus but these videos still match most of my topics, thankfully. I got an A* in IGCSE’s and an A for AS levels thanks to your videos and the notes I prepared while watching them. Im now studying for A2 and Im so excited to see whats ahead. In the evaluation, could you mention the laffer curve when deciding the rate, or is that only for income tax. Cheers dal
I think the concept can be applied to other forms of taxation as well, such as corporate taxes or consumption taxes. But it was initially used to demonstrate the effects on gov rev with changes to income tax rates

This guy is pretty hard for a wealth tax xD loads more negatives here and many of the so called benefits are not linked to wealth taxes at all but are part of government failure to protect enterprise from regulatory/legal monopolistic actions from big business.
Well, I absolutely fumbled that test. In the exam I just couldn't get the same level of analysis as I usually could do at home. Wasted so much time on Section A, I had to rush Section B and even then I did not finish the 15 marker. I am so screwed.
Still got paper 2 and paper 3 to catch up, not too much of an issue.
That is literally what happened to me, wasted so much time on the 10 marker.

Section A.

Opportunity cost diagram - work out the opportunity cost for a farmer. (Wheat and oats)

Which economic thinker proposed a planned economy (Marx)

Explain one disadvantage to a planned economy.

explain the increase in consumer surplus (mark out the area, multiple choice)

SECTION B
Sources are Netflix, prime etc.
q1.
What market structure does the video streaming market have. (oligopolistic)
Q2. How rational are Consumers (Netflix) 8 marks?

Wealth tax is basically Zakat in islam but Zakat doesnt have all the issues like admin challenges, tax loopholes and risk of emigration because its in the religion to you have to calculate your own zakat and still have to pay it even if you go to a different country as its part of the religion. Btw its only 2.5% on the money that has not changed in a whole year, so say u had 100k 2022, then start of 2023 u had 110k then u only pay 2.5% on 100k

Is windfall and a asset price bubble the same thing ?
No, an asset price bubble is when the prices of an asset such as a house rises due to speculation. A windfall is when a firm makes higher profits than expected due to external factors. E.g. oil companies made windfalls this year because of commodity inflation.
