She gives major Harley Quinn vibes and her schtick seems to be just living for chaos, I don’t think she’s necessarily good or evil. Her first trailer where they kept asking her ‘who are you?’ it’s assumed none of the stories she told are actually real and she was just fucking with them and mocking the other Legends’ backstories (like the dead parents was her mocking Loba’s motives, or the warrior of the old ways was mocking Bloodhound)
The current theory is that when Horizon does her time travel stuff, it seems to affect reality in a chaotic way and Alter is trying to bring that out of Horizon for her own fun
Another theory is that in a pretty old season they described a character whose description seems to match Alter in some ways, so they may be the same person and potentially teased her 2 years ago. That character was a woman who Wraith experimented on in the whole phase experiments before Wraith herself became a test subject, which might explain why she’s gone psychotic if she was basically a human lab rat
All very cool theories. And now it makes sense with her mocking other Legend's backstories. She's a really fun character 😀

Great video! In case y’all missed it, VaatiVidya (the guy with the smooth voice who does all the Souls game lore) just released a fantastic, and lengthy, cinematic story summary of Armored Core 6. That game has a *really* strong narrative and Vaati tells it incredibly well, he even hired VA’s to help bring some of the text-only characters to life.
It’s a five hour video so it’d definitely need to be broken up but it could be a big view-getter for y’all! And I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t dying to see you both experience the narrative in such a way! Your Fromsoft reactions are pretty much my favorite content you guys do, and I know a lot of your fans that are also Fromsoft fans feel the same way, that’s a passionate crossover community.
Current consensus on the lore is that she is a world destroyer and so people believe she is trying to force horizon to mess with time travel to end the world herself. Also people believe she is a liar and all her past lives are not true or made up. It's the first character where the background is not clear so we can make our own assumptions
She isnt a world destroyer, she just enjoys having fun in worlds on the brink of collapse.

She’s killing variants of the legends. First one is a variant of mirage,, crypto, rampart, Newcastle, Revnant, and ballistic then octane. Kind of like everything everywhere all at once. There’s a version of horizon who is a world ender and that’s why she wants to trick this horizon into becoming. There’s a lot of her voicelines hinting to it.

@@je36youtube yea 100 percent just making fun of all of the other legends. Making fun of their backstories. The obvious one was bloodhound but poking fun at lobas dead parents, octanes crazy obsession with soccer with him always kicking grenades and stuff. The loba one was funny though.
Idk if yall remember but her void abililities and dimensional travel is very similar to wraiths and there are theories that alter and wraith may know eachother so im excited to see the interactions between them two lol. Hopefully we get a fight scene cause that would be cool (i think wraith would win but maybe im biased 😂)

She's definitely the most compelling character, story-wise, that they've introduced in a looooong time. For a while now Apex has had the Loba-Rev rivalry as a focus, but this shift to Horizon/Alter is really fun to watch unfold.

I enjoy Alter a lot, we needed that kind of crazy character, and she's pretty fun to play yet not really OP that it changes the meta. It's nice to see lore is going to new Legends beyond Loba and Rev [even though I actually really enjoy their arc]. I'm really curious to see what else Respawn have in store for us, hopefully more CGI trailers/ short videos like Altered Horizons around Alter and Horizon because it seems that Alter knows what time travel Horizon can do. Whether it's side effect of her actions or perhaps Horizon goes crazy because she can't get back to Newton in the end? We'll see.

As much as i would love to watch you both try out apex its not for the faint hearted there are alot of sweats lol But as someone who now mains alter she is by far the best legend to date imo shes so cool and great to play!😄
The lives she talks about in the SFTO: based on a true story are all lies
She's basically trolling, cause first of all the name... secondly it's this idea of her being this mysterious character, this assassin that is always asked who they are, and they are giving a fake answer, we know that cuz first of all dead parents, not only is that a bizarre way of story telling, it's supposed to reference loba's backstry, and the hunter of the old ways and also I had a bird part which is referring to bloodhound and their SFTO trailer, and also the fact that she implies being born with a bunch of actual chicks which is obviously not true. She's obviously being an absolute troll and I love this SFTO trailer from an artistic POV because of that.
Ehen SFTO trailers are usually meant to give us the backstory of the legend, this one stays true to her mysteriousness and instead introduces us to her character and how fucking nuts she is. It's a great way to build up to upcoming lore and hype it up instead of just flat out giving it away, imagine learning more about alter's past in the future, or not even that, just never know anything about who tf this bitch is. It makes this legend release much more refreshing cuz for a long time, we have been getting much dryer legend releases lately, there's thedecline of quantity of the legend releases, and also how dry their character and how uncalled for and sudden they're backstory is, what I mean by that is ballistic and conduit's release as two bitches that we never knew existed who suddenly join the game for a very bizzare reason, as oppose to Valkyrie, Loba, or even Mad Maggie for example, who were teased from before or at least connect back to previous lore, it was much better world building. I also like the dramatic irony that Alter provides to the lore, we know her intentions of destroying this world just for amusement like she did with all the other worlds, I like her unique character, her Chinese cultural representation and Cantonese voicelines, just the very defined characterisation she has especially in game with all her animations, cosmetics, and interaction voicelines, and her abilities too, she's a very unique and refreshing legend that I think Apex desperately needed.

If you watch carefully at the time she mentions she discovered a passion for football, u can see that she is playing against wraiths. Also in a backstory when wraith and mirage broke into a building to descover that newcastle is bangalore's brother, (my memory is a bit blurry) she got in a fight with a mercenary who calls her Dr. Blasey (wraith's name before) - as wraith describe her : her eyes are wide and haunted, burnt scar on her left shoulder trailing down her arm disappearing beneath her gauntlet (scars u can see, and she has metal left hand).
Then the mercenary tells wraith : "No, no, no... please Dr. Blasey , leave me alone. Please, please...".
Wraith was Subject 1 in the voidwalker project and we know she was Dr. Renee Blasey before, who also worked on this project, but after the experiments she lost her memory.
Alter's character perfectly fits Subject 0, got experimented on , got the void tech, and knows + scared of Dr. Blasey.

Quick suggestion since it's been a while since you guys reached to anything My Hero relates that being My Hero One's Justice 2, I reccomend a channel called A-MAD and his My Hero One's justice 2 Character Voice lines in English, You guys spoke briefly about wanting to know more about more about the world and the Character and I think this is a good non spoiler way of doing so, if you do I reccomend starting with Izuku Midoriya or Tomura Shigaraki or even Dabi in English.
