This is so funny, I also started trying to track my mood using the 5 point system because of the same video you mentioned! My exact problem with it is what you specified too: starting out having a fantastic day, and something happening to ruin it. I have found it difficult to assess what point I should give my day when this happens. I probably need to write down the highs and the lows, especially if it affected me enough to change my overall score. Maybe this way the patterns will be more apparent if I note what caused that switch. Great video and production value, thank you again for sharing it!
This is extremely helpful. I'm at a crossroads with my current career and looking for a change. I might start doing an offline journal to track to help me better track moods, tasks, and just daily thought dump. Also, I've found doing 90 day evaluations has started me on the right path.

One thing keeping me on my toes about these kinds of things is that I'm scared I will focus too much on data, numbers, and quantifying my life and lose track of the more qualitative data in terms of emotions, experiences, and such. All though, I guess your system kind of covers that with the possibility of extending your notes past just the 5 point system and writing more stuff down. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I agree with your sentiment about being scared on hyperfocusing on the numbers, I felt that before I started. It makes is less overwhelming to have a simplified scale and then make up for it by writing down experiences and emotions on each day.

@@heygabimara i make it -1, I write it down in the notebook that my day started off well then mention why it turned sour. But also it depends on your attitude towards the problem you can promote it to a 0 or 1. I have had a situation where it could've been a -2 but I refused to let it affect me that bad so I changed my mindset and made it 0 cause after that I deliberately did things that made me feel better. I found that it works well for minor inconveniences. You ultimately are in charge of giving the score at the end of the day. Thank you so much!! I got the calendar off Muji 😄
