I build a lot of prototypes with rod-actuated mechanisms and similar gizmos, and ever since I started building things as a kid, I've always kept a little selection of Du-Bro stop-collars and other hardware in my parts drawers. Hobby shops started getting scarce in the 80s, but luckily the internet came to fill in the gap. I was delighted to find that not only could I still get Du-Bro products that I've been using since the 60s, but that the company is thriving and doing better than ever. I worked for DU-BRO in 1965 1966 (16 -17 years old) working on a machine that made plastic bodies for slot cars. It was in Niles Il on Milwaukee ave. What fun to watch this video. The man talking for DU-BRO could not be the man I worked for must be a son.
