  • We had a COMPLETE ELECTRICAL FAILURE at NIGHT! In this video, we drive down to Lexington Kentucky to rescue our airplane. After the emergency on takeoff, we had to leave the plane sit outside for a few days until the weather was nice enough for us to fly. This trip was a little over 300 miles, but we were happy to bring our Piper Cherokee 6/300 home. Unfortunately, we do not have footage from our electrical failure, but we try to explain what happened at the beginning of this video. In the end, this was a great learning experience for us all. If you have any questions about the incident/trip, don't hesitate to ask in the comments below. As always, thanks for watching, and don't forget to get your aviation fix!

You can turn right on red

Not at this intersection. It is right by a hospital so there is a sign next to the light that says no turn on red. It’s hard to read the sign in the video, but I know this because I’ve been to this town before.

Thank you! Definitely glad we had the G5 installed. It could have been bad without It.

Yes, I couldn’t agree more! Switching the G5 into PFD mode was the way to go.
