I keep telling my friend who does braids and sew in extensions to charge more !!! She works hard and does excellent work but her clients act like they’re broke and expect a million dollar do for a few bucks ! Makes me so mad how they abuse her expertise!!

God is faithful! I literally was about to advertise on IG/FB while listening. Immediately I stopped and started from the top; this was helpful and needed to be heard. Beauty school in the 90's when I was licensed less things were in the package. By the time I taught students it was like a driving school keep your hands at ten and two and look forward. Only ALLOWED to cover required state board blah-blah. Thankfully, few students knew me personally and before long a window opened to cover state facts with salon tricks. I miss the classroom yet the pay barely topped my tips. But it had health benefits. Time spent in classes, ALWAYS rolled into 💇 💰. I agree when you say I don't believe in competition. It chains us to a level worrying about someone elses bag. I'll check back in a week after I read book. Mid-post I 👂:✋👀 and pay attention. Thank you.
