Thank you for the information. I'm a hairdresser for 10 years in Turkey and i have a 230ft² salon. I haven't a rent. Property belongs to my family. I opened in January 2018. Its so new :) . And I spent to 20.000 TL. It was around $ 5000 at the time. Our country is experiencing economic problems after 2002... the consequences of economic problems are getting harder. In 2002 one dollar was 1.25 tl and now 6.00 tl. Everything we use like hair dye, shampoo, foils, etc is imported. learning about the status of my colleagues in other countries is very important to make comparisons on behalf of my country. Thank you again and wish you success :)

Thanks for sharing! Did you take a business loan or did you just save up money for your shop. Also are you paying rent while it’s under construction? And did you have to get a LLC? Thanks 😊

When you say your place how did you get the building owner to hold the place for you? If that makes sense...When you knew that’s what you wanted what was your next step with the leasing company

I love your tutorials! Im a cutter in the Bay Area I used to work in SF in the 90s and im Yosh trained, but only do cuts and extensions. Your videos are so great for learning color and giving me some confidence to hopefully someday open my own place. I just want a small studio for myself after years of working in a salon.

Doesn’t state board come in when you first open a salon to make sure everything is correct?
I’m opening a salon soon.. currently looking at locations. I’ve been doing on location makeup for the last 6 years but will be adding waxing once I have an location. Right now I just travel all around my town!
I’m just figuring out everything I have to do as far as licensing/ state board / permits etc!
Thanks for your time to write me back! You’re an inspiration!

You can combine those two insurance policies by getting a BOP business owner policy. That policy comes with lots of extra perks as well like cyber security and business interruption.

Hi! Future salon suites owner here. So I plan on only owning the property and renting out my suites to hairstylists and etc. I see that you did construction on your building but you’re renting it. So how does that work? Do you have to purchase the building to do construction or are you leasing it and able to do construction?
