I was wondering why the agony of Austria-Hungary took so long. The answer: The biggest blow to Austro-Hungarian morale is Romania joining the Entente, and this usually doesn't happen before 1916. If Belgrade is still in Entente hands by the end of 1915, Romania starts shifting towards the Entente step by step 23:15 . 02:16 The Kingdom of Yugoslavia only forms if Serbia has been beaten before the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. For balancing reasons, Germany gets a chance to subdue the successor states, and the forever-neutral rump state Austria keeps the Entente forces disunited. 22:50 Germany had only 13 %-points of National Morale left by the end of the Entente turn. The surrender or collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire alone costs Germany 20 percentage points of her NM.
