Total War Warhammer made Warhammer fantasy affordable. All we need now is the ability to make our own faction compositions, heraldry and colors.
What do you mean by faction compositions? On the faction colors, that would be sick as hell. I feel like that would be such a quick fix
@@danielgeniola8977 yea colors and heraldry like custom banners and stuff. Would be nice too if you could mix and match units a little within reason too. Like maybe have a few dwarven units fighting as mercenaries in an empire army or something like that. Just to add spice and make it so the players can role play a little with their own made up factions.
Hey mate, nice video you put together here. I have two suggestions though. Speak a wee bit slower and pause for a short moment between talking points. It will be much easier to follow your talking points and all non-native English speakers will appreciate it. To drive my point home, look at how Zerkovich talks and how he paces his video, that is a good reference point in my book. Second point (allthough that might be personal preferance): The background music was a bit too loud and energetic for my taste. I came here for information and your perspective on the HE, not to get all pumped up and start a murder spree in Khaines name.
This is meant as productive critisism, I am not mocking you in any way.
I appreciate all the feedback and people always say I need to slow down. The recording is done for the next section but after that, I'm gonna focus on slowing it down. I can try some new music for next time too for sure! Thanks again mate :)
Agree, as a non native English speaker it gets somewhat hard to follow you. You speak like a machine gun :) Very informative video though.

One thing you missed out with the Phoenix Guard is that they actually cause fear, due to the fact that they literally never make a single sound and frankly when you're in the middle of a battle, that sh*t is absolutely spine-crawlingly creepy. If I'm right, they also have physical resistance or a ward save too, as I know they have that on the tabletop.

So according to Legend, the only units you should use are spearmen and archers then sisters of avelorn.
Robert R I’m assuming this guide is based around normal, which is what most players will be starting on, which is why they would watch this guide.
@@Pt_Lacky Sure but difficulty gives blanket buffs and debuffs so the ranking of units shouldn't change much (well unless their whole shtick is causing terror or whatever).
Btw, "Legend" is a person. I tried asking the difficulty menu for advice but it didn't say much :\
Sisters of Avelorn are one of the strongest units in the game, in the fact that already has strong normal archers. Having a lot of them and some sort of front line so they can fire in piece is all you need.
@@Robert399 Incorrect. High difficulty makes grinder melee units basically worthless due to buffs to MA/MD on enemies but barely touches missile troops.
@@AzureRoxe you neednt frontline for sisters, they are actually better than anyone other than phoenix guard in front lining
Killing more enemies before they reach you is better than holding line a little bit longer.

Am I the only one that hears him referring to the Sisters of Avelorn as Sisters of Athel Loren? Also the great eagles can cause fear not sure if your brought it up. Otherwise good and informative, you just got yourself a new subscriber.

your army videos are great. I've looked at videos by a bunch of different people, and yours are the best I've found, imo.
In my experience - spearmen are good pretty much only for holding the line, but at least they can do it very well, especially if buffed with some life magic.
The primary weakness of High Elves is that they lack staying power. Most of the high tier infantry lack shields or have some other weaknesses.
Silverin Guards are decent, but outshined by more damaging units - they are basically glorified spearmen in the end.
Sea Guard with shield are amazing in terms of versatility and are a true "do it all" type of unit, but they lack the numbers needed for a true frontline.
That said, very early in the game, a humble spearman unit is surprisingly good at sieges. Their low attack values matter little against ranged units when assaulting the walls, they will simply outlast them, while still remaining reasonably safe from return fire from any units below the walls.
As for Reavers - I had no real luck with them. They are too squishy and micro-intensive. Since your primary enemies early on are Dark Elves, this is a problem. They are basically only able to deal with regular Darkshards in straight combat, even the shield variant will cause them trouble without excessive cycle-charging, not to mention anything stronger.

That middle Shadow-walker looking like Lord Farquaad
1 Eagle Claw + 10 Shielded Sea Guard + 8 Sisters of Avelorn + Lord (Ideally a Spellcaster/Princess) = The ultimate defense army, in my experience. Really pricey, but if you drop them in a chokepoint (ideally a city) they'll hold it against basically anything except chaos cannon stacks (in which case I'd swap 2 Sea Guard and 4 Sisters for Shadow Warriors to ambush them). It's basically a fireworks display that melts 90% of an enemy horde before it can even fight back. It's gross, glorious, and pretty much a "set them up and go afk" level of easy that can take on 2-3 enemy armies at once and come away with a few minor booboo's.
If you play with sisters you neednt any frontline.
Everything you need with them is eagle claw, better 2, star dragon lord or tyrion and loremaster
If you want to use lothern sea guards better use them with dragons as support

A full army of shadow walkers is so op that you don't even have to macro them most of the battle, they do suck at siege assault thought.

Has anyone else had issues with phoenixes when playing as HE?
Their resistances make Sisters and dragons useless against them while normal archers can't do enough AP damage to prevent them from reaching the back lines. They're pretty much free to drop their fire bombs all over my army -_-

2: would you look into SFO and make some guides there? I mean I know it's a mod but I think it makes the game more interesting. Also some units are more useful
I am 100% planning on doing update videos and will keep going until nothing is out of date hopefully

I'm a native English speaker and cannot understand 40% of what you say. It's not only that you speak fast (I can handle that), but far more that you don't enunciate. Overall, this is incomprehensible, I'm afraid. A pity, as it looks like the content is great and you really know your stuff - delivering a lot in a brief video.
I dont want to be rude, but you are talking SO fast and mumbling words, I can barely understand everything in 0.75 speed. English is not my first language but I would really appreciate a little sloeer talking

number one formations now you say dont buy more then x amount of this unit maybe at the end you can show some formation how to put your infantry,archers,artillery,...
Number two for the lords and heros you could add how you can lvl them to do certain things in your armys or on the campaign (red line,yelow line,blue line those things)
Also i could not find the pros and cons for the empire so it might be in there

silver helms do NOT have anti inf bonus. maybe better vs inf because of their stats like mass. much higher collision damage because of that

Very informative, thanks! Personally it was a bit hard for me to understand though, particularly the accent (from my perspective). Did you speed up your talking too? It seems a bit sped up. Was much easier to understand when I turned playback speed to 0.75, even if some things sounded a little weird then. Subtitles helps too.

Just as an info . What do i Need to unlock every faction in the game?
Lots of DLC. Primarily you need WH1 and 2 to get Mortal Empires and that gets you most of them. after that you can pick up bits of DLC for factions that you want to try. I have a ranking of every DLC on the channel if that helps :)
