I had a 2003 GT2, in Arctic Silver with a baseball glove leather interior, the seatbacks and center tunnel factory painted to match the outside; that was the best car I ever owned, I should NEVER have sold it. There are a couple of old videos on my channel, of me going around Laguna Seca in it.
Driver was silky smooth ! I’m a member of NNJR who hosted the DE and I know the drivers of 4 of the cars he passed; they are fast. Would love to know the name of the driver because I would like to watch more video of his driving style.
Good driving but Christ is that GT2 a monster! The way it Chase's down some of the new metal from Porsche is crazy. I've driven a couple 991GT3s flat out and that 996GT2 crushed them.
@@JayEmmOnCars Late to comment but it's even more impressive since this was the last true "widowmaker" 911. No electronic aids or traction control, from the 997 onwards those were standard on the GT2
Well Cletus, it would appear the holiday snaps have finally come back from the chemist. And this video is, indeed, a succulent appetite whetter for the main course‼️ Bring them on‼️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Yes, they protect you from a head injury and have saved countless lives in racing accidents, that's what they are for... what the hell is the brainless comment lol
Ah yes, the ol' C7 beetle... and a commenter that doesn't understand the inherent value of smooth driving and judicious use of throttle in a widowmaker.
@@adamlitchfield989 vettes only mean something to fat hillbillies in the USA. They get their asses kicked on every track around the world especially the famous Nürburgring in Germany..
please tell me you're not referring to the porsche's as beetles? have you looked at the records for the nurburgring? like half of the top ten times are held by these "beetles"

He takes some wonderful lines, and he certainly has better brakes than me, and more grip!lol
Other drivers: Ha. I thought a GT2 would be faster, must be a bad driver.
*slicks get some heat in them*
Other drivers: Oh shit.
Yep, incredible how it just changes after a lap and a half
Wow! Pure silky smooth driver skill right there. Nice video.
Absolutely stunning driving - Who is that man????????? Smooth as!

Stock? mods? Tune? Impressive
That car looks like a dream
They are monsters that is for sure. Hard to beat the available torque the GT2/996TT offers.
That is one seriously quick circuit with all those cambered turns! Would need some commitment in a GT2
Serious commitment and serious skill, no room for error either
Lovely driving. Amazing that they allow driving with the windows open though, a real no no on UK track days.
One of the differences between here and there. Windows down was MANDATORY in the US

What a ride!

Fantastic Sir !
damn this car is nuts, great driving
Great car, nicely driven.
Great drive. Consider how much faster he would be without the extra 175lb passenger.
Awesome 💯💯
Wow.. just WOW
That was pretty amazing! I really need to get my 700hp 996tt out on a road course!
I always seem to get a splat in the field of vision too.
And he was hauling that guy in the passenger seat that looked like could eat.
Can you overlay on car data like speed, rpm, g’s? Would be really cool to see :)
WOW need a cigarette after thar!!😄
Go to Brands Hatch
Couls Exige GT 430 beat it?
Hard to say
Next time try to face the camera in the other direction on a clockwise circuit :P
First‼️
you think the helmet is gonna protect you from a crash.lmao

Only saw it overtake other beetles and a vet driven by someone who doesn’t know where the throttle pedal is.

@falchulk the vet doesn't know where the throttle is!
