I have a question, I have purchased HOMM3 HD on steam but it works completely different. Is there a different version in the video? is it hmmo complete?
The steam version is based of the initial Homm3, meaning zero expansion packs. The GOG version is a lot better when it comes to content.
Sorry to say that H3 HD steam version is a mess. Recommend getting Complete Edition at GOG instead. Then follow Lexiavs guide to get it working as in the video: th-cam.com/video/nBCX9tWrADs/w-d-xo.html

You know what is fun? if you have strong spells dmg and summon first cast on catapult and destroy it and is gg he cant enter in the castle and after you can summon a lot of shit he he wants to continue.........But that depends on his units flying and ranged.....

Do you both get fly and dimension door in the beginning?
Yes on this template your underground starting area always has unprotected scrolls for fly, town portal and dimension door. You also get two gardens of knowledge, 2 schools to have some good staring knowledge to use them. The gold mine guard is set to always joining for gold to boost your starting army.

If you understand the tactix, there is no way ... but if you just want to enjoy HOMAM is nice to play.

how do you get dimension door and town portal so early? is that a multiplayer thing? might have missed that..
His first 3 scrolls that he picks up are dimension door, town portal and fly. 0:40

Yes, it is possible.
You just need a specific Template for this, where certain artifacts are banned, but instead of searching for something like this, it is much easier to create/redact a template yourself, you can also enable previously banned artifacts (the infamous red orb for example), or campaign's heroes. It's actually very easy to make your own template, or to redact an existing one, you can find the tool for that in the HotA's directory, it'll take just a bit to fully understand how it works, but when you did, you can get as creative as you want.
If I'm not mistaken, you can even freely play your own template with other people in lobby, they'll be warned however that you're using your own, custom template, so better play it with friends/bots or find some willing to test stuff players

What was going to happen had he killed all your army except fire elementals? Summoned units disappear after the battle, you would get win, but your hero would still vanish? TFP!
afair you will lose when you lost all creatures except temp summons.

As a general spectator, I didn't learn too much from this video. Maybe it's not your style to teach the game, but it seems like a wasted opportunity. I may be in the minority here, but a half hour video of you laughing at how OP one hero is without additional commentary isn't that compelling.
He has several guides about the basics, I just enjoy watching the chaos unfold

He cheated. You can hear the cheat code sound at 0:55 as it cuts and he suddenly has 2500 more gold.

Dumb question perhaps someone here knows why does he move his units into town when switching turns? Leaving only 1 stack with the hero?
Because next day, you can move faster. The fasser unit tou have, the more move you can go
I think he has more move speed thats why , but i am not sure
How far you can travel each turn depends on the slowest creature on the hero and it is calculated at the start of the turn. So if you have an Angel and a Pikeman on your hero then you will have 1560 movement points, because only the Pikeman counts. If you go in the castle and put the slow Pikeman in the garrison so the angel is the "slowest" unit on your hero then you will get 2000 movement points next turn. You can do this in a mine too, you can put "guards" in the mine, end the turn there and pick up the slow units the next turn.

Бои заканчиваются благодаря быстрой битве. Видимо плагин, но возможно родная функция ХД мода - авто-закончить быстрой битвой.

Why does he leave so much of his army inside the castles?
It is because he leaves only the fastest Unit Stack on his hero, the movement points are calculated taking the speed of the slowest unit into account.

@@thelofipimp i am pretty certain this applies to hota as well. the movement should be calculated at the start of the day, same goes with artifacts like equestrians. correct me if im wrong though.

Maybe I missed something but i keep seeing "glorious victory" before combat. What is happening there? Thanks
In interest for saving time the combat is first ran through (no casting) auto combat. You can accept those results OR replay it manually if you think you can do better than the auto combat.
Can someone explain how he got teleport and fly scroll already day1??? what is the chance of that happening? i usually play weeks till i stumble upon teleport.
wondered the same but its just a game mode that some people are playing (including some other rules). theyll find town gate, dimension door and fly at the start of their "bunker - which refers to their starting area", first creature there will always join for gold, and then they just chase pandoras boxes and hope for the best.
definitely not the normal game mode most people who play(ed) heroes 3 did...
so i was not playing this game the right way as a kid.

@@congtttbca1694 I know that, but on JC you aren't allowed to do that without defeating the guard first. The game lets you but it is counted as cheating I think.
In this template there is a ‘universal break’ rule - just break once and don’t have to do it again.
With the exception of the side bunkers - where you have to break the first guard also

It seems to me that the real power came not from Deemer but from pretty much starting with the scrolls that give you the Fly and Town Portal spells. What am I missing?

Actually, even a monkey could win the game if it get a dimension door, fly and town portal scroll on day 1. For a fair game, you should ban these spells out from the game at matchmaking.
Both sides get those scrolls at the start. The game is fair, at least in this aspect
hmm bro, u got townportal, fly and dimention door from the start ... u wouldn't get even 10% of where u were by the end of week 2 without those end game spells given u on day 1. Its like playing a small map where u get 10 black dragons on day 1 while opponent gets 10 peasants and u steam roll through map bragging how much skill you got lol
It's a PvP game so the difficulty comes from the how good the opponent is, who also gets the same spells available to him. Also in formats where you don't get these, usually performance is even better, with these endgame fights being done on week 1 instead. This 1 hero format is more of a restriction then making the game easy.

The rules are the rules. This template has no draw, s if you only have summoned elementals and defeat the opponent with that you still win.

I've been playing Heroes over 20 years, can't say I'm a pro player, I'm playing for fun.. but this online playing with this modified maps, this much artifacts, Fly, DD, TP at the start of the game.. sry to say but it's f* stupid.. kills all the fun of building the town and hording the army..
