But how well does this new information hold up to what we already know? And does it shed any light on their current mysteries?

I definitely feel like they didn't go deep enough with gem knights, but in their defense, that lore runs deep. Sounds like it's time for more duel terminal lore videos

The gem knights literally fought beside the constallars and togheter created the satellars.
Megalith got nothing but:"we know nothing of them", no cool story, just a mistery that will never be explored more in depth because the archetype will receive no more support ever like so many more before it.

I think the whole think with the Gem-Knight Fusions is kinda the same has the E-Hero ones, each combo of 2 materials has two results, depending on the lead material. ie. Ruby lists Garnet as the first material, so Garnet is in charge, but on Ctirine the pyro material comes second, so the other Gem-Knight is harnessing Garnets fire abilites for its own. (does this make sense?) There are probably all sorts of combos that we never see cause it never comes up in the story.

The fum thing about the Megalith lore is, that they can literally use them. In any lore universe right now, because they are based on statues that are portals, never specifying if for distance or dimension travel.

I really love the Duel Terminal era, so hearing more about Gem knights is awesome! Plus there was often a lot of cross-tribe synergy in the various 30 card packs the duel terminal stuff came out in, so like, I SUPER vibe with what you were saying here! I would love to figure out like... which gem knights PRECISELY fused? But also like... 10 color-coded cores end up getting carried SO FAR into the future of various other archetypes, I really hope that Master Duel does something neat with that continuous evolution

Gem-Knights are my favorite archtype and one on the few decks I fully completed irl at the time, seeing them in all their glory on MD was a blast and I do hope they continue their story in future solo mode gates. Also, seeing that we are getting new support I wish that Sardonyx and Amber (the thunder one) get their own fusions

Wow, I only just now noticed Phul's very...feminine figure. When I played that chapter in solo mode, I never looked closer and assumed it was an abstract hunk of rock.

I think part of why the GIshki don't factor into the WATER Gem-Knight Fusion the way the other tribes do is partially because they become a more malevolent force, no? With Noellia being corrupted by the Aquamirror and such.

They sure do! I think what tripped me up was that we see the Gishki combined with other themes (Tetrogre and I believe Merrowgeist) that I got on a one-track mindset of HAVING to prove that Amethyst was a secret Gishki fusion that no one had noticed.

Pretty sure the Gishki-Gem-Knight is Pearl. The monsters that tie Gem-Knights to the other archetypes are Xyz after all.
Ignis being Obsidian and Laval Lakeside Lady.
Emeral being Emerald and Gusto Serenity.
Pearl being Sapphire and Gishki Molusk
Only one that breaks this format is the Vylon one being Prismaura having the Vylon sticking out of it.

@@josea.ruizquinones9262 All of the combined themes that don't use Vylons are Xyz; see Daigusto Phoenix, Lalaval Chain and Gishki Merrowgeist being Xyz, but Gishki Tetrogre, Laval Stennon and Daigusto Sphreez following the rest of their archetypes

Super glad to see another Master Duel lore video!! I love all your content, but your lore vids are my absolute favorite; you have a way of really bringing these stories to life! (Can't wait for Duel Terminal Lore Episode 4 whenever it drops!!)
Honestly, these bits of lore are one of my favorite aspects of Master Duel; it's awesome to see the storyline that has only ever been inferred from the cards actually get somewhat fleshed out! Hopefully the upcoming OCG Stories manga can continue that trend and give even more details on some of these!

I know these videos take a ton of work, but I hope you do more of these in the future. I love seeing your take on the lore and how they fit with the cards. For instance Vendreads just got their update so perhaps Slayer's banish effect is a reference to him killing the zombies in this case putting them somewhere harder to revive from.

I definitely want more of these videos! The World Chalice storyline in Master Duel is actually really good, especially how it ties into the mechanics itself by removing cards from the loaner deck at certain times.

If the Gem Knights and Crystal Beasts team up, it would "rock."
Bad pun aside, this and the last video seem to have common themes. Monarchs and Elementsabers both deal with elements and Megaliths and Gem-Knights both deal with rocks (Monarch's typing and Gem-Knight's theme). I know you're doing this in the order that they appear in game but I wonder if there was some sort of purpose on the order, like how one flows into the other.

Promising that the Gem-Knights’ fate unfolds in “glorious detail” feels really misleading. The Qlifort story doesn’t make it clear it’s taking place in the same world and you don’t see the Gem-Knights in it. There really needed to be a Shaddoll gate showing the fall of the Gem-Knights for everything to flow together.

The megalith deserve at least 2 new cards, one would be "prophet of the megalith" based on the wirter who created the olympian spirits and "phul evoked" or "unbound" a fully emerged phul.
God damnit, they could receive so much lore and could work so well as the base from where all ritual monsters came, but because their archetype will be forgotten like so many more

Congrats on 25K subs. I find it super interesting how Master Duel is trying to make lore for some of these decks but also just can't at a certain point. What is going on with Phul. We don't know it was legacy support. This isn't to trash on the MD Lore it's super cool. But goes to show that unlike the Duel Terminal Storyline, some archetypes weren't designed to have super rich lore.
