I've always liked this house. You did an awesome job with this video. I look forward to more! There's a lot of lost history in the Minnesota River Valley.
Great presentation! My great-great grandaunt, Christina (Sohns) Gehl, would have been pleased. I was on the site today and sure wish that I could see inside of the farmhouse that several generations of my family members would have been in. But that will never happen due to the dangerous condition of the building.
This was a wonderful presentation. Wow that family must have been some hard workers. I know from personal experience growing up on a hog & cattle operation back in the sixties how much work is involved maintaining and raising livestock, but we were fortunate to have tractors. This family would have had many hired hands back in the day. Just milking cows is a full time job, along with the field work being done with horses. All I can say is WOW
Thank you for another interesting and enjoyable video. It just proves why the old people, which could seem cruel, always left the farm to one individual. Spread ownership and it goes out of the family.
If you're looking for topic or location suggestions, Vicksburg south of renville might be of interest. From what I know it used to be on the minnesota River. All that remains is a cemetery on top of the river valley
These historic farms and houses need to be preserved

In the summer of 2022 I explored this area, not knowing it's history and so its a great pleasure to have discovered this video. Well done!
This explains so much why I find bones in the river bank here almost every year

Interesting satellite back in the 1930's.
I was thinking the same thing. ;)
Informative video, just curious about satellites in 1937. 🤔
Yes, good catch.
My ancestors are from Minnesota last name Gehl
1937 satellite image (16:31).
That satellite would have to have the ability to look 3 decades back in time to image 1937.
"1937 Satellite Photo"? I don't think that is correct.
Ya I seen that! Wow we were more advanced than most people thought. LOL.
Buen trabajo
