When I was a child, we had a macadamia nut tree in our back garden. There is nothing like eating a fresh nut from the tree. Thanks for taking us around Alessio's home village.
@@ThePasinis definitely. If you ever come to Australia, head up to the Daintree, that area grows macadamia trees, and they have the best macadamia ice cream you'll ever try. Sadly, I live too far away, in the Blue Mountains outside of Sydney. But here, we have the best chocolate shop in the world called Josophans.
I love it when someone talks about Italy without mandolino, pulcinella, fake gestures used in the wrong way, weird accent and every stereotyped way! Very nice!
As someone who grew up in a small farm town in a twin river valley in Minnesota, so much of this video reminded me of my childhood. Life's just different out in the country. You have room to breathe, you can hear yourself think, and people treat you like people rather than like chores or obstacles.
Not all of USA is rush, rush though that is what media projects. You have to find communities outside of metros for better quality of life though that may come with less convenience which really is not worth all it's hyped up to be
@rmnett true. With city rat race comes a plethora of convenience all within a closer distance than something widely spread out like the leisurely rural areas.
I love this quiet, laid back, simplistic way of living. American society seems to value more materialistic things than quality of life. Italians know great quality of live, love, friendship, togetherness, good art, good food. They value family over everything else. I would move today if I could!
@@terintiaflavius3349 I live in the country in Tennessee, a small small small town. And everyone here is working 2 and 3 jobs and still can’t make ends meet. It’s really sad.
Such a beautiful life. I love at night the lights are warm and not garishly bright. It’s magical. There is never trash on the streets. It looks so clean. More respect for the environment. I love this slow simple pace of life. ❤
What a wonderful place to enjoy life. I especially like that stopping to speak with people you know is more important than rushing to a planned destination. Bravo!

I have a pic of my kids in that same exact piazza. So beautiful there! Thank you for sharing your hometown, Italy has definitely left a stamp in my heart!
Just recently started watching your videos about eating at Italian restaurants in the US. It was just a happenstance to catch something TH-cam presents to you and you are both very pleasant to watch because when I lived in the States 20+ years ago, my wife (Italian from Meduno) would also compare the "Italian" cuisine at restaurants to home in Italy. We both laughed at your videos because you brought back a flood of memories that we experienced as you both do now. Bravi ragazzi e continua a fare più! Happy to see Maniago on your videos as I met my wife here in 1998 and I currently lived a few kilometers down the road near Spilimbergo. By the way, wife enjoys a cappuccio at all hours!😂
What a surprise! I didn’t know Alessio is from Maniago. Cheers from Trieste 😊 same region totally different dialects as well as scenery, you have the mountains we have the sea.
One of my favorites spending a day in Alessios hometown. It is so beautiful there with the mountains. I love the shop with the name Mississippi..I have moved back to Mississippi. Much love to you both 🤗🤗
We have hazelnuts in Latvia too,I remember picking them in August I think, then opening with garlic squasher tool.I moved to Ireland many years ago and have 3 kids now.....we have hazelnut trees here too but nobody is bothered to pick them .....I showed my kids where is hazelnut actually coming from.....I want to teach them all what I know about the nature and where's food comes from Greetings from Ireland ❤
I love your videos about Italy especially the one when you were in Maniago. I have been there many times because my mother-in-law came from a little village nearby called Fanna. We loved the market on a Monday and then having a lovely lunch of gnocchi and of course a glass or two of red wine in a little trattoria nearby. Been to Barcis many times as well and to Longarone for lovely trout lunches. Thanks for bringing back a lot of lovely memories.
My dream is to visit Italy one day and not the touristy spots but the local areas to truly experience the culture. Thank you for this video. I've been binge watching you both on TH-cam since I discovered your channel. I'm learning so much about Italy. Thank you from Canada 🇨🇦❤

Really lovely, guys! Thanks for showing us life in Maniago. I loved the visit to Alessio's childhood church as well. Said a prayer with you for your little lion! Sending love & hugs! ❤🦁❤️
Thank you for the beautiful video as seen through your eyes. I love how you meet up with friends and enjoy your conversations with them. Having a apertivo was delightful! Your home village is charming with the new surrounding the antiquity and where centuries of Italians called home.
Once again, you guys show a fantastic glimpse into everyday life in Maniago. This is my dream, to live like a local while visiting a smaller town. My husband and I have never been to Italy but definitely on the bucket list. We’d only want to visit small towns! Cheers from northern AZ 😊
Absolutely loved going with you in Italy in the town where Alessio is from and seeing all of his friends. I have a father named Pasquale, but he is passed away. Please do more of these. Glad to see that you are feeling better, Jesse. I’ve been on vacation in the British Virgin Islands, so I haven’t kept up with your videos, but I sure enjoyed today’s.
