It's ignorant. Not sure if it's this one or the one before but the MUA used a freaking lip liner as eye liner in her waterline. It wasn't a new pencil either. My 1st thought was "if they used that on someone who had an active cold sore Judy now has HS1 in her eyes". No amount of money is worth your health. None. These videos may be funny due to the "creations" the MUA comes up with but that's where the lol's stop. I've only watched a handful of her videos but I can't watch anymore... 🧏♀️
I’d say lab test the makeup on her skin but maybe test her face without it thennnn test it with it?😬 (cotton swab test)

i had a student lash tech berate me for having blinky eyes. She scolded me for having caffeine beforehand (which i didnt) and insisted she couldnt finish my lashes and demanded i leave. her supervisor then came over and finished the job. honestly if you cant deal with "blinky eyes", you shouldnt be in the industry.

Man, Judy is really out here risking her health and safety for our entertainment. However, as a cosmetologist myself, within 8 minutes, I thought I was going to start having heart palpitations at how unbelievably disgusting the lack of sanitation was. Like, when the "artist" picked up that insanely huge eyeliner pen, I had to look away. And when she picked up the "beauty blender" off of the floor and touched Judy's face with it, I was thinking "You know what, just sacrifice the sponge to the easter bunny already. There's no coming back from that."
Lack Hygiene from MUAS makes me feel so uncomfortable!!
I knew it was going to happen, but I still yelled! Unbelievable.
YES! I've gotten clients and models with complaints of contact dermatitis and fungus from dirty cosmos and makeup artists. It infuriates me to the depth of my soul I have no patience for filth someone could really get hurt!
@@catherinecarranza7224 exactly! I don’t care how busy you are. There is absolutely zero excuse for using dirty tools/supplies on clients. If you are comfortable jeopardizing, the health of the people in your chair, then you should not be in the profession. Period.
Okay, but why are y’all so offensive about the size of the eyeliner?
I've noticed that every time Judy goes to a "worst rated", her eye makeup comes out wonky, and it's because they had her lying flat on her back with her eyes closed the entire time. They painted an almond shape onto her eyelids and called it a day. She opens her eyes and has chonky bird wings coming out of either side of her face and the rest of the shadow disappears on her lid because she has hooded eyes. She has such beautiful eyes and you could do so much with them but all of these MUAs refuse to take into account the unique canvas of her face. They'd be miles ahead if they simply had her sit up and look at them periodically!
On top of the disgusting lack of hygiene, that "mua" was so rude to her and teasing her for being pale like my goodness are you ever in the wrong business!! 🤬
I was at a county fair (which is a thing in the US) and they had makeup for sale. I checked it out online and it was okay but safe (most known for its glitter). But they had a MUA on staff doing tutorials and beauty makeovers. If you bought at least $50 they would put you at the front of the line ahead of people hoping the artist would be available for free. I believe it was Mahya or something like that.
She was so amazing. She had her brushes on rotation and would clean them and add them to a machine that ran hot air through them. It was her own invention and it kept the brushes clean and dry. She had 3 sets and would just rotate them through. When she was working on me (I bought her product and tipped her well) she talked about how hygiene is the mark of a professional. She had a handwashing station at her cubicle and did not cut corners. She had me done in 20m. Then she spent 5m just talking with people and left for 5m before she pulled the next person up. She actually taught me how to work with my hooded eyes and how to minimize some damage I had. I learned so much from how she did her job on my face specifically.
I bring it up because she dropped a brush at one point. She had her assistant put it in a bag of brushes for a better cleaning later and just pulled out a spare. She had a bunch already in there from previous drops. She didn't mind sanitizing from use, but would not try to do a fast sanitize from the floor.
They did so much business that day and what really struck me was the number of people who would come up to get refills or more colors from previous years. I have never looked so good. And, hilariously, I dropped my phone and lost all the pictures a few weeks later. Oops.
I still use their makeup when something calls for bold glitter. And because it's paired with an adhesive, it doesn't move or flake off.
That sounds like such an amazing experience! Hats off to the artist, too
I love County fairs, though I've never seen a make up artist at one of ours, (in the UK.) That sounds cool.
Ours are mostly show animals, pigs, goats, cattle, ducks etc with Shotgun sellers and Land Rover stands. Oh and food. Lots of food. Cakes, fudge, cheeses, clotted cream, cider, meats, pies and all manner of good stuff. And the obligatory sheep dog herding demos and petting zoo for kids.
I love them, one of my favourite things!
as a runway model i’ve had to say to multiple people not to use a mascara unless it’s a disposable wand. imagine this is your career and you get an eye infection beginning of working season. also during lineup, same powder on EVERY model

I avoid the sun like the plague, and never use bronzer because I enjoy looking super pale. If someone said something like that about me in front of me, I would walk tf OUT!

Judy D gets that at most of these places. They usually don't have foundation in her color but they act like they are doing her a favor by making her orange and 5 shades darker. Miss me with that! I prefer to embrace my pale skin rather than constantly trying to change it. I'm 41 with no wrinkles so avoiding the sun has paid off, I'm glad I ignored people who told me I "need" a tan 🙄
I find Robert's patience to not watch these and instead save them for reaction quite impressive😅Love both of your content!

As someone who is pale and olive I feel this. There is no shade match. Yellow forever
My friend who is a MUA has pale olive skin, and she has to get the lightest olive shade and mix it with a pale neutral. It's extra work (and $$ short term) but looks great. Plus you can use the light and dark shades unmixed for subtle highlight/contour.
This is not the same,but it reminds me of my first time getting a brazillian wax. The girl had a huge pot of hot wax. For the whole session,she used the same spatula on me,double dipping in and out of the wax. After I finished,I realized she was re-heating the same wax she had just doubled dipped in for the next client. Not only that,she put THE SAME spatula she had just used on me back into the wax,waiting for the next client. I cringed so hard.
I dont want someone elses vaginal bacteria on me. That has to be so dangerous. Whats sad is that she was so good and did such an amazing job. But the hygiene had me. I never went back 😬
As an esthetician, that's horrifying. If she's still working, I'd review the heck out of that.

Poo flakes and wee-wee flakes? 🤯 Oh no!! I'm a teacher and I've been telling my students about the dangers of Poo Dust Transference (PDT) if they put their feet on their desks for years. I knew I was right about The Science of poo dust/flakes! Robert just proved it! 🤪
I collect luxury makeup so it KILLLLLLS me how these people charge good money to use a liner so dry on someone's waterline that it won't even put pigment down!!! They almost always have the cheapest junk makeup you can get, like the Christmas gift set shit from Walmart or something. If I was charging money I'd be charging u not only for a beautiful final look, but to have the pleasure of wearing high quality products for the day. This is so disturbing... love Judy and love you!!

@milyduval2969. I agree 💯. I’m from Hawaii where we do not even walk into our homes wearing shoes we wear outdoors. For me, just seeing someone walk through their home in shoes they have worn out all day long gives me the heebee jeebies!

Yeah, lots of people. I always take my shoes off before I lay on my bed, I leave them in a shelf in my closet for the next day, but concern about shoes is often a cultural thing that's instilled from family values growing up, and many people don't have that experience.

As a cosmetologist the most important thing to remember is that your not supposed to do every clients hair like your own. The same goes with when I do make up. I’m not going to make them all look like me….. my goddess look at the makeup on her arms. She’s orange. And the dirty spot he is killing me.

Poor Judy. I used to look like that after a few hours wearing the lightest shade of Covergirl when I was in high school. It would always oxidize on me. I am so grateful Bare Essentials came along because other than that brand there was Cornsilk that finally let me use a foundation that worked.
I love Robert’s constant harping on hygiene. I’ve never had my makeup professionally done but I’d trust him.

I was once a model for a makeup artist. She gave her students such a good advice for doing around eyes makeup, specifically for lashes.
She would give me around 3-5 seconds and then she would move her hand and let me blink. She would also give me a bit more time while doing the eyes, before the mascara and lashes. I was so impressed by that. And she was so mesmerising, talked soft and everything was so easy and comfortable.
Yeah the makeup artists knew they did a bad color match, and knew they messed up with the under shadow- so they blame it on Judy, rudely. That’s so immature of them
I'm wondering how, by now, these salons don't see her come in and go, "oh, crap, are we THAT bad?"
I am forever going to call client consultations, interrogations, from now on!!! 🤣

In the US we don't typically take our shoes off indoors (at least, the people that I know). Now I'm starting to rethink this...

The "eres blanquísima" (aka. you are super white) is a cultural thing mostly in Latin America, since the Spanish conquest, there was an ideal of "getting rid of the native color" so the whiter you look, the better. When she says that, in her mind is a compliment, because of the conditioning we used to have. I've gotten that comment many times in the makeup chair (I'm pale as a ghost) or when we look at group pictures.

As a pale skin tone myself I could not stop cringing at her lack of manners. I also get lots of comments about my skin tone, but guess what? I’m 36 now and look ten years younger than my age and I’m so so proud of what I’ve got! Beautiful, Eastern European skin! 😅 Also, almost all eyeshadow shades look awesome on my complexion. 😂

That is ever so true about cut crease shape. I tried to copy a graphic loner cut crease once and had to bring the line waaaay up to my eyebrow so it would be visible with my eyes open

One "trick" I was taught when I was in the industry was to seat your client so their eyes were at or near your shoulder height. When doing mascara, we would tell the client to look directly at our shoulder, our ear, etc. so they had a somewhat comfortable spot to focus. I also told them "I promise not to poke you. Blink whenever you need to." It's relatively easy to spot that blink coming and get the mascara wand out of the way before it messes up an eye look. You can't expect a client to go more than 10 to 15 seconds (30 max, if they're a superstar) without blinking.
MUA: "Look down, look up, look at a certain point, look forward, don't look down-"
Instructions unclear: My eyes have rolled backwards.

Robert! I just wanted to say thank you- I have always struggled with my oily eyelids getting mascara bits smudged on them because my lashes naturally curl up and rub all over my lids lol. I think you mentioned it in a WT video, but I started priming my lids even when just wearing mascara like you said. It has been such a game changer!! I appreciate you 🥰

Back in the day when I used to do make up, I used to get the client to follow the tip of my finger when I was doing mascara. I could get them to look what I needed them to, and they had something to concentrate on. Worked like a charm.
