I completely agree with you regarding the range. before i looked at the specifications of the battery, i was sure segway would have placed one of the largest capacity batteries for the price range of the scooter. i was really surprised to learn that the segway gt2 only has a 1512 watt hour battery (which requires 7 to 8 hours to charge at 4 amps, with no options/choices for faster charging). for a few dollars less, the wolf king gtr has a 2400 + watt hour battery (which can charge at ten amps = 3.5 hours) which is significantly more range at the same speed, i mean, if traveling the same speed. after studying the rion scooters, i realized how important higher voltage is for batteries and controllers and motors and overall responsiveness and efficiency. this is another improvement i think segway can add to future design models, higher voltage, larger capacity battery. and yes, i am willing to pay extra for this. the segway gt2 is a really great scooter. i am really looking forward to see what segway comes out with next! if segway can make something that competes on all levels with the rion scooters, and softer suspension on the front, similar to the wolf king gtr, that would be really great! when riding scooters, i sometimes do not see cement pushed up by tree roots. i hit such a bump (while riding the segway gt2 at 46mph) in the road, approximately three inches tall, and both of my hands came off of the grips. i wasn’t able to hold onto the grips. it was very jarring. i hit the same bump on my wolf king gt pro and the front suspension absorbed the bump and my hands didn’t come even close to coming off of the grips. this made me think that the segway gt2 front suspension may be better suited for track conditions. but still very good suspension. just not great on sudden steep/sharp bumps at 46 miles per hour. the wolf king gtr and the segway gt2 are presently my two absolute favorite scooters. the electrical and mechanical engineering on both scooters is next level. i mean really, these scooters are literally from the distant future!

@@antisfavorite7250 The GT2 gets a similar benefit in range but at the cost of tire wear.. the power and torque of the GT2 is so high that there is very rapid tire wear to the center of the tire if you run above 50 psi. The 45 recommended pressure keeps a better contact patch to the road that results in better tire wear so you don't have to replace them as often. So unlike the max I don't recommend going above 50 psi unless it's for a specific ride where you want more range or you avoid the performance modes. The repair instructions for putting on a new tire want you to completely disconnect the motor wheel from the controller. I can't remember now, most of the time I keep the scooter more than 40% charged since I don't ride far enough between charges to drain it less than that. From what I remember, the acceleration slowed down but the top speed was still above 40mph.
Can you do a range test only in Eco mode? I`m just curious tho. Although the specs are a bit disappointing on their own in my case they are more than sufficient so at least I won`t have to make any compromises.
I don't plan on doing the range test in Eco mode, the simple answer is to add 3 to 5 miles of range for Eco. I typically do the range test in the fastest mode and do some hills to simulate a worse case scenario but even in that case, range will vary quite a bit for different riders as I'm on the heavier side and I did a lot of accelerations, if I hit mostly green lights then that would increase my range as well.
