It would be foolish. The new manager would walk into Romero, VdV, Udogie and Solanke returning which gives a false sense of progression. Ange is a victim in this situation too and deserves a chance to show us he can make this work with his key players back.
While I don't blame Ange for the situation, I just don't see how the project can progress with the lack of backing of him by the club. I've watched Ange the last decade and a half and his tactical awareness and capability as a manager is extremely high but he has not been able to demonstrate it properly. I don't doubt Ange's capabilities but I just can't see the club giving him what he needs to make this system work at this level I think moving Ange on is probably the right way to go, and we will probably see Ange find success in his next role while then next spurs manager struggles again.
Wonderful video Jim. Probably your best. Fully explains the situation of now and the mistakes of the past. Disgusted that there have been no players brought in this window when Ange asked for help weeks ago. Don't expect any turn around in the PL till players return. The players are just buggered, mentally and physically. The flip side is that despite the situation Spurs have one foot in the Carabao Cup final and are well placed in the Europa League. Surely Ange and the players deserve credit for that. I am not convinced that the board is right behind success at the club, and agree with your comments about Levy. Don't think he has a sporting brain. I still remember Conte's comment that "he has never seen such a lack of ambition at a club". I think this has been the case for many years.
The players are trying there best for Ange and that can not be under estimated. Going into this game I was hoping that they could pull off a victory but half way though the first half I saw some mental fatigue setting in which you cant blame the players for after playing every 3-4 days for the last 2 months. We will endure and make the time we are over this hump even more special. COYS Love this channel and the members 💙
They are fighting for him. Our owner and the structure below him have left him out to dry, now the fans are turning on him too. He's not blameless but this is the definition of throwing someone under a bus. I feel for Ange...
Thank you Jim, difficult to comment on, after another loss, great job. If we could get a couple of players back from injury, then we can see Ange ball back, we need a couple signings to help🙏 Tough times, Ange is a class act , I wish we as supporters could be as committed as he obviously is, I hope he gets to have a full squad to choose from and we will see success. Good luck with the toilet training 👍😁
Thanks Phil. Feel for Ange, for once the fans seem mostly united behind the belief its the chairman at fault over the manager. I hope Ange gets the support he desperately needs from Levy
Jim, mate. Good post as usual. My take on our current situation. Levy would bring intense pressure on himself if he dared to sack Ange. I, personally, do not see that happening. Besides that, if you parachute a new manager in or recruit from within how would they be able to immediately resolve our current injury crisis and be able to refresh over-played, exhausted players. The maths simply do not add up. We are better to stick with what we have got no matter the outcome, because a new manager would have no time to impose their ideas on a squad, That is better done pre-season when they have time with the players on the training field. There are many variables as to why we found ourselves where we are. That actually goes back to when Pochettino was not backed when we had a chance of winning the league. We have declined from back then and since then, poor recruitment has exacerbated our problems. Only recently have we failed-better in the transfer market, but that has coincided with getting rid of several players to reduce the wage bill and free up squad space. Even though we have cleared the deck, we are still short of a quality squad depth that can compete on 4-fronts. That combined with the worst inury list in Spurs history has seen our league form suffer. Players are being over-played, fatigued, and in risk of injury. We can but hope we bring in new players, either on loan-to-buy, or simply loan deals, as it is unlikely we will spend big. It's frustrating, but we have no choice but to go with what we have got in the hope that our luck changes. I am not fretting about relegation, but I would be lying if that wasn't a nagging thought. We shall see if Ange is backed, otherwise, we can kiss goodbye any hope of winning a trophy. Levy, open your wallet or forget any chance of success. COYS.
Well said Adrian. Ange is far from innocent but this is a mixture of issues of many issues coming together at once. Looking forward to chatting on your show again soon. COYS
Well said jim 👏 its a snowball effect and its growing quick everyone are entitled for a opinion but it would be so hard to be in the players and ange shoes right now makes me laugh that all these fans know what they would different like they could do a better job is laughable. G’day Jim…once again….awesome show and stated opinions !!!. Don’t know whether it’s because I’m in Australia and we have different ways at looking at things….but I’m so NOT worried by all the negative , overhyped , and somewhat overanalysed ,situation that spurs are in at the moment. I said at the end of November…I didn’t expect spurs to win ANY game until end of January - mid February….and apart from I think…3 wins ?? ….since that comment…spurs are doing pretty much what I thought they were capable of….so I’m not stressed or worried. Spurs WONT be relegated…that’s just nonsense!!! Spurs lack depth in experienced talent…but some great youth coming through !! Levy is a pure facts and figures businessman…operating to a 5 and 10 year plan…which doesn’t really concern itself with success as a football club in the trophy cabinet. Fans have to realise…spurs are NOT a big or great club….end of story. As soon as fans recognise this….the merry go round of sacking mangers will stop and success will come. I’ve always believed in letting any manager stay the FULL length of their contract…..especially with elite sports teams , as they are filled with human beings that fail and fall short in expectations placed on them by fans. ie…they will have good seasons and they will have bad seasons. I fully believe ANGE needs to stay the full length of his contract….will he ??….NO. But Levy will have to pay him out a minimum most likely of 10m pounds….so why not let him stay and earn that 10m left on his contract. Even when injured players return….fans will need to realise…..the players surrounding the returning injured players on the pitch….are still going to be totally knackered !!!!…..so it doesn’t necessarily mean great wins…..but perhaps more draws and fewer losses to lower teams. I don’t believe spurs will win ANY trophy this season…but success will come with ANGE in either his 3rd season or his last contracted season. So all good in my opinion….no need to stress!! I still believe in Ange ….i still believe he needs greater help from Levy…..so COYS. Nice dog by the way…..hope you’re fully prepared for long energetic walks….that breed definitely needs to be knackered out ….EVERY DAY….for piece and quiet in the home….hahaha. Cheers from the …boxing Kangaroo.
Which manager is going to want to walk into this mess anyway Jim? The players that ARE fit, are COOKED! Relegation won’t happen, so absolutely must stick with Ange, support the man for crying out loud. There still might be a trophy at the end of the season.
Great stream Jim agree with everything that you said! The biggest factor for me last night not once did the stadium turn on Ange! it was the loudest I’ve heard and witnessed LEVY OUT the fans that go week in week out who would not let their feelings known about LEVY have shown where the blame lays Levy has backed this club into a corner because he won’t take risks he looks at the football as a franchise and we have slipped down against teams that were always below us! The football club is run very naïvely against smaller prem clubs and that is showing now!
Hey Kem, agreed. We have become too complacent as a club. The teams below us are catching us faster than we are gaining on anyone above us. I am grateful for the great things ENIC have done to keep us relevant but I do not think they know how to take us further forward.
@ yes ENIC/Levy have achieved a lot off the pitch stadium training ground etc we look structurally elite but the team does not match the infrastructure around it! to elevate us to a elite football team that would cost a lot of money to achieve and sustain long term they are not prepared to do this as this would take money out of the club unfortunately running a successful elite football team for which they are not prepared to do!
I just don’t see how the fans don’t see this situation , the squad was paper thin to begin with the injuries have highlighted what little investment there’s been
There's 2 major problems onfield. Our defence cannot defend and that's obviously influenced by our starting defence being all injured in Vic, Udogie, Vdv, Romero, Spence. The 2nd problem is that up forward we are struggling to gel and players are now trying to do it in their own instead of playing as a team. Porro is a good example of taking silly shots with very small chance of success instead of centring the ball. The other thing I'm noticing is a myriad of good crosses with no one there centrally to take advantage of them. Once we get all our players back i think we are worst case scenario a 8th to 10th team. We need a couple of elite mids, a striker and wing and a left back and left centre back. I've always been Ange in but at this stage maybe the best thing to do is hiring a more defensive coach to get us through the relegation battle. Maybe we need a circuit breaker.
This sounds dramatic but the club hasn’t been the same since we left WHL. Never talked about enough. Maybe I’m in the minority. Unbeaten at home, class manager and players. Sick of hearing about how great the stadium is. Stadiums don’t play great football or win matches. Soullessness without success is so hard to stomach.
@whatwhat9110 that's true. But I feel the reason we were so great is we used to focus on youth year after year. Poch inherited a team with a young Lloris, Walker, Vertonghen, Rose, Eriksen and Kane. We then switched to a win now mentality and stopped building the squad from grassroots. We lost our DNA
Great content mate. Very much in agreement with all your points. The one aspect’s I think contributes massively is the club didn’t account for the 2 games per week impact. It’s the same as Newcastle last year vs this year vs the year before and why Arne Slot’s not having injuries. I’m 100% Levy in (up until this season at least) but agree with your perspective on his risk appetite not being sufficiently forward leaning and his real estate background informing the view. If Ange is sacked without reinforcements I will be returning my season ticket though. Generally the atmosphere in the stadium and value for the effort of going will no longer be worthwhile… that said, while we are not in the bottom 3 I think he’s safe but the damage done to the unity required for winning may be too great by then.
The irony if levy did take a punt and invested on some key experienced players to bring success "the brand and club value" would be much higher and he could sell a minority stake at "his percieved figure". Win win...thats what we all want. Win.
Love your new dog, Molly! A lot more than this current Spurs situation. The club needs to back the manager. We need players in. We will set the club back a decade again if we don’t see this through
Thanks :), she is a bit of a nutter but lovely. We sure do... its already 2 weeks too late for full forgiveness but we must get 2 in before the window shuts. Ange is the biggest victim of this mess
Excellent analysis Jim. The recruitment has traditionally been patchy for many years and many of the managers have to shoulder some of the responsibility. I'm not convinced that the much touted data approach is going to be the answer eg Dragusin. However Levy out just seems pointless in that there is no chance of that happening.
Jim, usual sanity and it’s hard to find on this platform. We are in a rebuild amidst an injury crisis. We need to get through this time together. I’m not Ange in or out. I’m manager, club and team in. I want to see this out.
Thanks for the comment Rhys! I'm with you. I will back the badge through the rough times. There seems to be far less upside to pulling the plug Vs seeing this through. Ange needs help now this window, he's on our side and in a spot any manager would struggle with. COYS
We need a football club, not a financial institution parading as a football club. Spend bringing in the players that are for the style of the football manager. Has to be Levy out. Otherwise, we are shuffling deckchairs on the Titanic. 24 years 16 Managers 1 Trophy says it all
Theres a lack of appetite for spurs content that is petulant children blaming Ange for the losses and wanting ange out. Get the man more help for gods sake! The squad of depleated teemagers were exhausted and lost in the 2nd half!!!
Not sure why anyone would 'back the ownership to the end'. They have shown that they cannot make any good footballing (or fan related) decisions over a sustained period of time.
For me this just proves how little ENIC cares. They're letting players get run into the ground just to save money & that can only be because the football team is not a priority for them. Ange & previous managers have alluded to how little they are involved in the transfer windows which also shows that ENIC are controlling that rather than offering the manager a kitty & freedom to buy/sell with help from their scouts. I think, at this point, Tottenham football team was little more than a trojan horse to gentrify the area & ensure priority access to that premium land. The amount ENIC stands to gain if they can raise the surrounding value & build on is worth way more than the outlay on Levy land.
You know. As little as a year ago I'd have disagreed. However, right now, I think you made valid points. It also helps how you put them across in an articulate way. What a frustrating situation we find ourselves in.
@@OhSoSpurs Thank you. From a purely financial view, it looks good on paper, as there seems to be a lot of investment in the club. I think we're seeing how that can be a poor measure of success now though, because the commodity at the core of football isn't property or goods; it's people & ENIC don't seem capable of factoring this in, or the variables it introduces. Despite that they seem to insist on being in control & interfering which leads to bad decisions because you can't get the full picture by reducing people or performances down to stats & profit potential.
@ and the reason why I say Ange in is cos I would like to judge him when we have our full team back - if that makes sense. All I’m watching now (and it is hard) is the board & levy leave our manager & players out to dry to save their behinds
If I had a season ticket I would not be renewing if they don’t sign two players, if they sack Ange, and if they refuse to increase their wage bill as a proportion of revenue. DL only understands market forces. Hit him where it counts.
Totally get the sentiment. The reality is though, when you’ve waited years to get a ST you are reluctant to lose that privilege & go back down the waiting list. If I could come back when I was happy with the owners and direction then I’d consider not renewing. That’s not the reality.
Big up Jim...yep, its an absolute mess and the manager has been done dirty like his predecessors. Based on his philosophy with 50 mill in his back pocket Brennan Johnson imo isn't the first winger Ange would look to sign. Other than 2 players some signings have all been suggested to Ange and the rest are club signings. If he had carte blanche on building a squad a lot of players wouldn't be here and he would of brought the right players that fit his ideas...COYS
Big up Jay! Yes it dos feel like transfers are presented to Ange at the final stage as part of an approval and he has less input than he would like. To be fair Bergvall, Gray, Solanke and Micky have been great. He desperately needs 2 more this January though
@OhSoSpurs 100% Jim...yes those players have been good for us. Imho only VDV and Solanke were hand picked by Ange and his remit was to coach up the inherited squad and the club signings..love the content Jim...COYS
My god the Ange love in with the comments - we have evidence from back end of last season, early this season where with a fully fit squad we were still conceeding goals, inconsistent performances, and now his running these players in to the ground, one of the worst managers ive ever seen at this club and ive seen some trash. Jim you need to set up a debate with stelios from Tottenham Away - your balanced on the fence sort of views vs. the other side of the argument.
Why would he debate sillyois, serial bed wetter, grey is shit, solanky is shit, bergval is shit.all he does is bag the players. You certainly can't have a reasonable debate with sillyois.

Hi Jim, came across this vid calling for Spurs youtubers to unite to get ENIC out and thought I'd bring it to your attention: th-cam.com/video/VcyUPaB0tnE/w-d-xo.html
I don’t understand how people think there’s going to be a new manager bounce?
The players are giving their all for Ange and they’re exhausted.
It would be foolish. The new manager would walk into Romero, VdV, Udogie and Solanke returning which gives a false sense of progression. Ange is a victim in this situation too and deserves a chance to show us he can make this work with his key players back.
Jim thank God for an adult point of view. This is the only channel I am watching at the moment.
So what you’re saying is anyone who has a different opinion to Jim is basically immature? Ridiculous!
Last time Ange was in a relegation battle he won the league the following season, can't think of a better manager to tackle this situation
Hoping could be the same for us?
While I don't blame Ange for the situation, I just don't see how the project can progress with the lack of backing of him by the club.

Despite that they seem to insist on being in control & interfering which leads to bad decisions because you can't get the full picture by reducing people or performances down to stats & profit potential.
The difference between now and before is the clinging smell of decline.
I have recruited around 30 mates to follow spurs simple conclusionAnge goes we go
Yep same
I think the club’s pretty much stuffed if they sack the manager
We have the stadium, the training facilities and bags of money. Maybe levy isn’t quite convinced that ange is the man.
Less spurs, more molly
I’m Levy out & Ange in Btw
Kane & Sonny really put a bandage on our issues after poch.
@@Taecoconut 🤍💙
They really did, Kane and Son really did drag us to 8th which says it all!
It’s a tough one. I will never not renew. Thick and thin. If Ange gets sacked I’ll never have felt more disconnected from the club though…..
@ yes I understand the loyalty. But that’s what DL is relying on to maintain his business model
Totally get the sentiment. The reality is though, when you’ve waited years to get a ST you are reluctant to lose that privilege & go back down the waiting list. If I could come back when I was happy with the owners and direction then I’d consider not renewing. That’s not the reality.
@@ossjonny yes, I appreciate the implications for those who’ve had season tickets for years or worse been waiting for years.
After yesterday's bismal result all these groups will come together just for one purpose and that's to get levy and enic out
Hey John, they should be people seem split over Ange too, some blame him as much as Levy which means no one is united behind a common cause
@@terrymeddings5563STINKY STELL……… THE CREEPY BEDROOM DWELLER….. Loads of negatives yet no answers… same as that fog horn Henry….. and that know-it-all Savva.
I mean we are still in all 3 competitions but are most likely not gonna win any unfortunately 😢
We sit on the edge of glory and a disaster at the same time
Yeah, no way we get past Liverpool and even then I don't think we could win against scum or Newcastle in the final.
Poch and ange didn’t signed any those players you mentioned they were all club signings
4 camps? There are only 2 camps: #Levyout and #Angeout. I’m in both camps!
@@RJ-67T there are 4 camps
Ange In and Levy Out
Ange in and Levy In
Ange Out and Levy Out
Ange out and Levy in
You sit in one of those.
Levy Had No Intention In Signing Anybody In January Except Diblling / Delap And Free transfers for next season , but has being caught with their pants down and can’t get anybody significant in except some crap player like Werner that the club doesn’t want
Oh So Spurs should be renamed Oh So happy clappers.
What's happy clappy about wanting a change in direction with the ownership but appreciating they did some good stuff amongst the bad stuff?
@@OhSoSpursthe ownership did zero good stuff for the club. Everything they did over the last 24 years was with the aim of either making money or saving money. No interest in winning whatsoever!
Hi Jim, came across this vid calling for Spurs youtubers to unite to get ENIC out and thought I'd bring it to your attention: th-cam.com/video/VcyUPaB0tnE/w-d-xo.html
This channel is the most delusional Spurs channel around - I absolutely needed this unrealistic booster shot of hopium 😁
You’ve got to hope! But it’s the hope that kills you too. Classic Spurs. It’s who we are etc🤷🏻♂️
