As cruel as that first comment is, I do personally agree. I read most of the comics myself and have a good most saved to my phone (9,777 pages saved at time of writing from Dreamwave, IDW, Skybound, Fun Publications, and Marvel). All I can say is, this version of Shattered Glass does NOT do justice to the original. I'm personally in agreement with its removal in favor of Skybound, who's already proven their ability in less than 10 issues vs IDW who took over 32 comics just to write out Arcees backstory and cybertronian history over and over again, even until the final comic, Unicron, which was handled poorly.
@@0_Knightmare I have to disagree. IDWs Spotlight series was a masterpiece that helped flesh out the Universe with stories that tied in beautifully no matter what part of the timeline they were set in. The lore was DEEP, and the Original trilogy (Infiltration, Devastation and I forget the last one) gave a human element that had been missed in other publications.
Your videos are amazing, here in Brazil we do not have this comics in stores to buy easily, so finnaly knowing the story is huge for some fans of here, thanks mate! And sorry if my english is wrong in some sentence ahaha
Yeah I never read or saw any shattered glass except seeing some figures in youtube toy reviews and chris mcfeely's basics. Thank you for reviewing the stories!
the first half felt good, this half really feels like its butting its head up against a wall. I see what they were going for but given how much time they had, I think reshuffling some of the plot elements would have been better, especially cutting out all of the Flamewar stuff which felt unnecessary. Not really a fan of how they make Optimus look like an idiot in this. The way its paced he just kinda jobs and thats it, after all that hype and build up, not to mention the out of series to see SG Optimus by fans, and he sorta just amounts to nothing
A lot of good points here! I agree. Right out of the gate, the stakes should have been higher. I felt like SGII spends too much time highlighting individuals when it should have been focused on conflict. The stage was already set for the war, we didn’t need to reset the stage for 4 issues in SGII.
@@DerekUpNorth I think the intent was always to have each issue focus on a character. SGI just did a great job of feeling super coherent in a collective rising action sense and should have probably dropped the concept for the second half to focus on the set up story at that point
Although this series was named Shattered Glass, this wasn't the first publishing. You gotta find the BotCON published comics from the 00's. THOSE are the ones that have the Prime you're looking for, and the storyline for that one was Cliffjumper had fallen into the SG dimension.
I felt similar the further I got into reading part 2. I felt like the stakes should have been higher earlier on, considering the stage set in the first Part.
Man im already loving this version of soundwave! A shame we didn't get to see much of him
I would’ve liked to see more of him too
It’s sad that this is the final series in the IDW era of Transformers comics
Good riddance IDW. Hopefully skybound revives SG.

Soundwave is kind of a badass in this series like the bandana is pretty cool.
Ngl soundwave is goated in this series and the only figure I own from shattered glass is soundwave lol 😂
Soundwave being a motivator of the group, he's the true goat
Sad how idw couldn't make a third shattered glass because man this shit rocks
Honesty i dont care i just think their new color changes look cool. Hot rod looks like one of the scrap bots too
Hotrod's stache is the GOAT! LOL
Rodimus turned into an italian mob boss here
We need a shattered glass Tv show.
That would be awesome!

Thanks! I'm glad this was helpful.
While I love a certain fan comic of Shattered Glass Transformers Prime a lot more than this one, it's still quite interesting.
Is this from sound blister ?
@AliSahib-lr1jw SoundBluster, yes. Have you read it?

@beefbigshot8789 agreed 💯
We really needed a Optimus v Megatron fight again like a rematch in sg
I think they originally wanted Megatron to be the one to kill the wreckers and magnus
I WAS PROMISED EVIL OPTIMUS ANG GOT NOTHING
it's in the mail 📬
