I deeply appreciate your video style. No back story. No showing of your house or family. Just showing me how to cook. It's very helpful as I follow along when trying your recipe myself. Thank you.

Just a tip- mix the flour with some cold water before adding it, so you dont have lumps 🤗

I grew up southern with my grandmother making this dish but never new how to really do it correctly, I never got the recipe. I have tried different recipes but they never came close as yours. She, my grandmother, would include big chunks of potatoes with hers that would help thicken the "gravy". We would take the potatoes out first and smash them down and pour the gravy over the top and that was the "best"! Great memories, thank you.

Ok i have made this recipe 3x already my people love it!!!!!!! This is the recipe!!!! I didnt like the way it tasted when i used red wine to get the stuff off the bottom of the pan so i used a splash of beef broth and it works just as good!!

I made this recipe, and my fiance said it was the truth!!! Every bite made her melt in her seat. This was my 1st time ever making a roast, and it turned out 2 be a homerun. Thank you big time 4 the recipe.

This is a nice recipe. I added 1/2 cup of wine the 2nd time as 1 cup of was too much. And absolutely needs more than 6 tablespoons of flour. I added 1 cup of browned flour and the thickness was perfect. I also had to cook mine longer than the 1 hour suggested. 1.30 minutes and it was definitely falling apart. The first batch I made was 3 cups of beef broth was too much as it was swimming in liquid. This time I only added 2 cups of beef broth and it was perfect.

I love how you give non confusing instructions. Keep on giving us great recipes! Especially like the fact you didn’t use Corn Starch. I like to use Arrowroot because it doesn’t change the color or flavor. Thank you!

I learned a trick about making gravy. I usually grab a paper cup and a whisk and put like 3/8 of flour then put some of the hot thin gravy in the cup and stir as the first drop goes in. Pour enough juice in so that the flour is turned into all liquid and then put some worchester sauce in to change the color and dump in the pot. Stir until gravy thickens. This avoids the lumps of flour😊

This looks amazing, I don’t have a pressure cooker but I would totally try this on stovetop and I guarantee, as someone who’s followed a good number of your recipes, it’ll be good. I still get requests from my family to come over and make your chicken pot pie recipe and I totally loved your hibachi video! PS if you’re in the comments and haven’t seen those videos, watch them! Best present ever.

I hate cooking but daughter was like she wanted a home cooked meal. Came across this and gave it a try. I will say I was scared about using the red wine only because I DO NOT COOK but it gave the gravy a little jazz, it was a hit. FORK tender and flavorful. Can't wait to try more!

I'm so glad I watched this video. I just got an instant pot and almost all of the pot roast instant pot vids on youtube, do 2 things I don't agree with. A, use lipton onion soup as seasoning. I just don't understand. And so use corn starch to thicken.. I agree 100%, corn starch is for sauces, and flour for gravy.

I just discovered your channel the other day, but I seriously *Love* your style of cooking!! But, I need help.... can you please do a video showing how to make a traditional Southern-cast iron skillet of cornbread?? There are a million recipes online, but I think your style is gonna be the kind I grew up on. For the life of me, I can't ever get that right. (homemade biscuits too) 😖 It's embarrassing to my southern roots that I can't master these 2 basics
