nice video. these tips didn't increase my download speed / latency but I was experiencing lag spikes in rocket league, where just about every other game I was being kicked from games from losing connection to the servers, and I have not encountered this issue since. cheers!

This really helped me a lot, it’s different for different people, originally I had 12.49 Mbps and when I did this method I got 193.21 Mbps and my ms went to 7 which is insane thanks man 😁🤟🏻

Anyone else having Gears 5 campaign issues? Mine stays on the game loading screen for quite some time. I reload the game from a previous completed chapter and it still crashes at some point. It's very frustrating.

Tried this last night my download and upload speeds are 0.63 and 0.47 but this made it playable with very little or maybe even no lag so 5 stars from me.

It actually worked, I couldn’t believe it. Went from 92 milliseconds to 64.
I am not sure if I am doing this wrong but I keep seeing this improves to have low latency and higher download speeds.
I looked up the DNS before and if I am right that takes you to cloudflare DNS.
It's supposed to be a good performance in Internet speeds and I remember my teacher was talking about it to do so now before everyone gets on the server.
Letting you know this was possibly 3yrs ago before this setting started blowing up being a popular setting to use.
The best thing I can say is ignore all of this and use DNS benchmark.
All of these settings are east coast servers. So if you live by east coast it would work best.
This before I heard that it'll make you have a 1ms.
Now it's increasing slowly due to the amount of people using it.
The DNS benchmark will take a while but it would at least make you find your DNS to use that will make you have a 1-5ms.
If you use something that is near your location it will help improve the most.
I tried doing this several times before and it just increases my Ms instead of lowering it. So idk what I am doing wrong for everyone to say it improves but just using my default is better than the settings.
But all a dns does is it uses the most amount of power on your connection for lower latency is all. Just either... Move out, look up a fast router use cable, and put the DNS benchmark.
Most east coast connections are very good.

This is odd, but without doing this, I had 320mb down 265mb up and 45ms. So i'v got fast enough line(fiber) in, what bugs me is the latency on 45ms, I can't seem to get it down.

Tried it then put everything back to normal/automatic and the latency improved after resetting to defaults. It didn't improve anything.

I sometimes still have 1% packet loss and modern warfare has been so laggy, but my NAT is open and on modern warfare servers it says my NAT is open and I have no pocket loss. Idk smh

Just an FYI for those trying. This matters by where you live. His natural IP is from the California NA west zone. So if you live in or close to this area , these settings will work for you well, now if you live in Texas they will be slow and if you live in Florida its gonna be even slower etc.... the further away you get from that server the slower the speed and higher the latency as its a long way to travel to connect to that assigned server . You want to connect to the best and closet server available to you. I see a lot of people not quite understand how that works and wonder why it does not work for them and this is why.

What about changing dns settings in your router that's what I did so it assigns all tha same dns. My isp geographical location is not where I live it's like 2 hours away its weird because I've had it be where I live b4

Was about 8 times faster with the original dns settings. Started at 81.65 and after suggested changes it dropped to 12.81. Went down across the board so maybe im just the odd one in the bunch? Not too sure, but definitely didn't help in my particular situation.

I changed the settings to it and it made it worse. any other good custom dns? my manual seems to work better but I wouldn't know a pretty good dns for less latency.
