- In this fantasy map making tutorial, I want to walk you through how to draw a more classic style of for drawing mountains like you would see on the map of Middle Earth for Lord of the Rings. Plus, my own spin on that classic style to create something a little more unique.

Hey Josh, amazing to have you here more often. I am very happy you descided to make more videos. As always, very professional made, thank you so much!
Hey thank you, that’s encouraging to hear. I’m excited to start sharing more!
Great tutorial as always Josh. Really clear and well presented. Thank you! :)
Thanks Matt, I appreciate you saying so! Definitely encouraging 😀
I've been struggling with something similar to your second style for some time now. Watching you has helped me understand what I'm doing wrong & how to correct it. Thank you - subscribed.
That’s great to hear! I’m glad you found it helpful 😀
What brush do you use?
For this I am using the Stone Liner brush included in The Modern Map Maker Essential Brush pack on my website. I like how it functions like a brush pen so you can vary the width of the brush with pressure, but it also has a bit of texture baked into it to make your line art a little more interesting. Hope that helps!
Hi. How can I use mapeffects on iPad? Because I can't find the application in the app store.
If you're referring to the Map Effects Fantasy Map Builder and City Map Builder, those are brushes you bring into an app like Procreate, Photoshop, Clip Studio Paint, or Affinity. It's not a free standing app. That's above and beyond my current knowledge or capabilities haha.
