- Three figures, Wyatt Earp (Burt Lancaster), Doc Holliday (Kirk Douglas), and Johnny Ringo (John Ireland), were the original personas in many TOMBSTONE Movies, such as TOMBSTONE (1993), where Wyatt Earp was changed to a retired lawman from a lawman in Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (1957).
This 1957 Movie is a realistic version of the TOMBSTONE drama, and A gorgeous lineup presenting a wonderful story. - บันเทิง
Great actors and actresses telling stories from days gone by! We should never forget them.
not just telling stories, and giving a good time as well.
Val Kilmer gave the greatest movie performance of Doc Holiday in Tombstone. But Kirk Douglas in Gunfight at the O.K. Corral is a close second. Nobody else did it better IMO.
That is a fair statement.
I disagree completly; Douglas in the best . Nobody had his class
Agree! Val Kilmer and Kurt Douglas played the Holiday role differently, Kurt was more traditional way with his class , while Val played the role with awesome coolness and spooky style. @@claudiobertolini7317 🍿🎉
Great film, great actors, they had there day and will be missed, I feel sorry for the young people having to watch computer generated action films, live action is live action, thank God we lived through it.
1950s-1962s were golden movie time. 🕹🍿🎉
This and the Seven excellent.
My Darling Clementine, 1947, starring Henry Fonda ,Victor Mature, and Walter Brennan did the story before this. One of director John Ford's great westerns.
That is more accurate statement, a great black-white western movie. 👍🕹
THE GREATEST WESTERN OF ALL TIMES WITH TWO GREAT STARS BURT LANCASTER AND KIRK DOUGLAS DIRECTED BY JOHN STURGES WHO WENT TO DIRECT LAST TRAIN FROM GUNHILL AND THE MAGNIFICENT 7 THE ALL TIME CLASSIC THE SONG IN OK CORRAL SUNG BY FRANKIE LAINE WAS AN ALL TIME CLASSIC AFTER ALMOST 50 YEARS I STILL SING IT
John Sturges deserves this beautiful compliment and summary about this movie! Thanks. 🕹🍿🎉
ONE of the greatest westerns 🤠
@@sheiladavis6523 I have no problem with this statement. 😂🕹
Great movie 🎥 ❤❤❤❤
Brilliant thank you great to watch
Uma bellissima musica per grade film bravissimo Kirk Douglas bravo ad fare il tisico Burt Lancaster è rondha Fleming si vede lee van Cleef .❤
DUELO DE TITANES EN ESPAÑOL. GRANDISIMA PELUCULA
Glory days gone by.
¡¡ESTA, HA SIDO LA MEJOR PELICULA,DE O.K. CORRAL QUE SE HAYA DADO,MEJORES ACTORES,MEJOR COLOR,MEJORES PAISAJES,Y SOBRE TODO,MEJOR CANCIÓN,INTERPRETADA POR:FRANKIE LAINE
I just can't see Kirk Douglas saying, "I'm your huckleberry".
🕹😂
Funny, I like that.... only Val can say it....
Ok, take care and bee safe...🐸👍🙆🤔🤨😋🐝🐝🐝
"Tombstone" with Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer was the best.
That movie was the best for most of the drama, except the ending with the face-off between Ringo and Holiday, the director setup the standard too high for the first half. 🕹
Yes, didn't watch the Kirk Douglas 'Ok at the Ok Corral' and didn't spell it right, but still can't take away that Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer are the Best when it comes to the Ok Corral'.... yay buddy!!! And Tombstone, and a leeto more realistic and closer to home....
Ok, take care and bee safe...🐸👍🙇🙆🙌🤔🤨😋🐝🐝🐝
Maybe one of the best western film very big actors
To say the least, the ending part is more reasonable than Tombstone 1993.
Love how nobody aims…
I think Wyatt Earpp played by Kevin Costner and Doc by Dennis Quaid was my best especially the OK corral shooting scene
Thanks for sharing. 😂🕹🍿
Can someone explain how did the OK Corral in Tombstone, Arizona end up in Dodge City, Kansas?
He was a lawman in Dodge City, and went to Tombstone to help his brothers who were lawmen there. 🕹😂
Hollywood, makes things happen and Culver City is where they happen... If not, Hollywood says where History happened.... Politics and Favoritism are the Riding Force, and it ain't an Appaloosa or however you spell it....
Ok, take care and bee safe...🐸👍🙇🙆🙌🤨🤔😋🐝🐝🐝
Val and kurt couldnt act their way out of a door
What kind of drugs are you on, Val played doc better than Doc played Doc Kurt to.
Defalarca seyrettim şahane film
I also like this movie, traditional style if you compare it with tombstone 1993. 🍿🎉
I appreciate Val's portray of Doc but without Kirk first to do it and the James Garner movie versions Kirk will he the #1.
That is truly objective view.
The final face-off scene between Ringo and Holiday in Tombstone (1993) was not well played as the scene in this movie.
My darling Clementine is the best one.
🕹😂
This is so far removed from what really happened that it borders on the absurd. I love Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas but this is ridiculous!
Movies try not to do a documentary's job. This movie's end is quite reasonable and justified if you compare it to the end of TOMBSTONE 1993, where Holiday faced-off with Ringo. Take a slow motion closer look. 🕹😂
Those who say it's not "realistic" are just pompous. None of the guns in any movie fire real bullets, so NO MOVIE is realistic. No one who is "killed" actually die, so it must not be "realistic".
Stop being obnoxious. Movies are just movies.
That is realistic view about movies, @@TerrenceLopez-gn1tj 😂🕹
Lousy history; great movie.
Brevity and accuracy.@@johnhoie1 🕹
Actually I kinda liked the original Star Trek version the best :)
Entertaining but not so accurate
Earp wasnt a saint in real life!
Thanks! That might be true, a movie usually picked some entertaining parts. 😂🕹
I have to admit, Val Kilmir is a far superior Doc Holiday and Biehn as Ringo is super good
Nope! Kirk Douglas is the best Doc Holiday.
The James Garner movie “The Hour of The Gun” which deals with the aftermath of the gunfight at the OK Corral is also worth a watch. Jason Robards gives a fine performance as Doc Holliday.
Thanks for sharing. That was 1967, a great year for movie industry.😂
What a messed up edit.
Let's elaborate it, and fix it. 🕹😂
I came to see more of dr lenord bones mccoy.... i was dissappointed
🍧
Deforest Kelly has a decent role in the western “Warlock” which stars Henry Fonda, Richard Widmark and Anthony Quinn. It’s a top western.
The Sisters came to see Big Nose Kate, told her she should get on her knees and pray. She said, "The next time I'm on my knees it will NOT be in prayer." Is that bad enuf for you?
😂🕹
You CHOPPED UP THE VIDEO . . DESTROYED
Please elaborate which part failed, let me fix it if is possible. Also It is hard to let a 10-min clip to tell a 2-hour story. 🕹
WAT VERSION IS THIS??😂😂
this was 1957, quite earlier than Tombstone 1993.
The more I learn about Douglas the more I dislike him.
He co-stared top notch actors quite well in big movies, such as John Wayne, James Coburn, Burt Lancaster, etc. He had both ME and joyful personality. In comparison, John Wayne was not able to work with Clint Eastwood. 🕹😂
Freed Trumbo!
WOW Robert Mitchum who worked alongside Douglas in the 1947 noir thriller Out of the Past said he had no time for Douglas’ arrogance.
Like or dislike him it was this arrogance that made him go onto become one of the biggest stars of his time as well producer of classic films such as Path of Glory and Spartacus, both directed by Stanley Kubrick
He made quite a few good movies with big name co-stars, such as The War Wagon with John Wayne, Draw with James Coburn, and this one with Burt Lancaster, his persona indeed added some joy to those movies. 🕹😂, @@theman2017inc
Kirk Douglas was I little squirt of five feet six
He knew how to avoid standing together with Burt Lancaster😂🕹
I'm sorry but the complete lack of any realism in many older films is just crap and means no matter how good your actors are, they age really badly and this film is a prime example.
That was part of the development in film industry, in terms of technologies and acting skills. It would be tough to put them along a horizontal line for comparison. 😂🕹

Desculpe por isso🕹
This looks like a lgbtq fight at the OK corral,
You could compare the final face-off between Ringo vs Holiday in this movie, and the scene in Tombstone 1993, and which is more realistic version. 🕹
